My system is having Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3 motherboard and I have set the BIOS to AHCI native SATA Mode but I don’t know why system is getting hanged while detecting my 2nd hard drive. I have rebooted my system number of times but I am just getting the below message while it is scanning.

** This version supports only Hard Disk and CDROM drives **
Please wait. This will take few seconds.

It’s not going past this message, does any has any knowledge regarding this and can help me out fixing it as well??

In that case you can try out resetting cmos and check out if things are working fine after that. There are different methods for resetting cmos but you can try following the easiest one. Simple turn off your computer, unplug the power cord, remove the cmos batter from the board, wait for sometimes and reseat battery, plug power cord and turn on the system. Try this out first and let me know if your system is booting fine or not so that I can have a better idea of the issue you are going through.

Try out following the below steps and see if that’s helping or not:
    1. First turn off your computer, disconnect your 2nd hard drive, turn it on and set BIOS to Legacy IDE Mode and disable SATA AHCI Mode as well as SATA Port0-1 Native Mode.
    2. When you are done with the above changes than make sure that you are saving the same and turn off your computer. Now connect the 2nd hard drive and use 010 Editor for opening PhysicalDrive of the HDD and setting 3 bytes starting at offset 0x1C3 to FE FF FF.
    3. Save the changes, set controller to AHCI native mode again bios and proceed, your system should not get hanged after this.

If at all you face any issue further then let me know, I will surely try to help you with possible solutions for it.
