Suggestions for overclocking Intel E2200 processor

i am a total noob so please help
i dnt know a of overclocking can some 1 please help me
1)can i overclock my CPU
2)if i need aftermarket coolers can ull suggest (frm flipkart preferable)
3)what are all these volts, CPU to ram ratios and all that stuff
my motherboard is gigabyte g31m-es2l
1 GB ram
can i get details on how to do it
doesn't matter id my PC gets screwed up i m getting a new 1 anyhow

I can provide you a short answer on your queries.

1)can i overclock my CPU

Yes you can overclock this cpu. Overclocking lies stable if it is done from Bios. Using a third party software can fry your cpu. What I know that Gigabyte G31 does not comes with any bios utility to overclock your cpu.

2)if i need aftermarket coolers can ull suggest (frm flipkart preferable)

Basically if you are not overclocking the cpu to higher rate then the regular fan will do. The clock speed of this cpu is 2.2 GHz and raising that to 2.8 is safe. But above that generate more heat and your system will reboot.

I will not recommend you to do that by checking them randomly from web. Because there are chances if you do wrong settings your system will reboot instantly. I will list you some applications. But you must overclock that at your own risk. You can try Intel Desktop Control Center or Asus Turbo V. There are some default profile that you can use to overclock the system.

Note: Before Overclocking you have to test your system. The testing can be done by software like OCCCT or Prime95. When you run the software, it will create a report that whether your system will stand overclocking or not. If your system crashes when this tool run then do not overclock.
