I will suggest you to get AMD FX-8150, I think it is the best amongst AMD 8 core processor. You can refer to the below specs of it:
    • Cores - 8 cores
    • Clock Speed - 3.60 GHz
    • Maximum Overclocked Speed - 4.20 GHz
    • L2 Cache - 8 MB
    • Lithography - 32 nm
    • Additional Technologies - Virtualization Technology
    • Socket Compatibility - AM3+

I don’t have idea about others but even I have made a new build having AMD FX-8120 with GIGABYTE GA-990XA-UD3 AM3+ AMD 990X SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard. My new build is just working great and I am not having any issues with the same, it performs much better than the quad core processor that I was using before.
    • Clock Speed - 3.10 GHz
    • Maximum Overclocked Speed - 4.00 GHz
    • L2 Cache - 8 MB
    • L3 Cache - 8 MB
    • Lithography - 32 nm
    • Additional Technologies - Virtualization Technology
    • Socket Compatibility - AM3+
    • Power (TDP) - 125 W

Re: Best 8 core AMD processor

As far as the 8 core processor is concerned I have found below intel processors to be leading the race. They have got the best smart rating from a number of sites:
    1. Intel E7-4830 - $2059
    2. Intel E7-4820 - $1146
    3. Intel E7-8830 - $2280
    4. Intel E7-2830 - $1179
    5. Intel E7-2820 - $1134

But when it is about the cost then I will like to inform you that they are very costly as compared to amd 8 core processor. So if you are not having any issues with the budget then you can surely go for intel 8 core processor.

Re: Best 8 core AMD processor

Before I suggest you something about the same I just wanted to know what are the other specs that you have decided for your build?? I have recently bought AMD FX-8120 3.1mhz for my system having Asus Crosshair V Formula motherboard, 16GB ram, video card and 1 tb WD Caviar Black along with CoolerMaster 850w Gold Silent Hybrid Pro. A good psu plays an important role for the working of any system.Just let me know your specs so that I can have better idea of your case and will suggest you the best suitable 8 core processor.
