How to fix bios error code 0xaf on ASRock X79 Extreme4 LGA 2011

How to fix bios error code 0xaf on ASRock X79 Extreme4 LGA 2011. I am started getting this error when I was attempting to upgrade the bios. I do not know what I did but still the issue is constant. I am also trying to enter the bios but still stuck on that problem. I had contacted the tech support. They are not helping much. What can be the problem. I hope this is not some kind of serious hardware issue. I tried removing the cmos battery and re-inserting it. But still the error is constant. There is no much information available on the same.

It is a bios error. It can be associated with the hardware. The best thing you can do is simply carry the board to your nearest service center. They would help you to fix the problem. Don't go ahead again with some kind of manual update. If your motherboard is under warranty then surely you will get a fix or replacement for the same. Bios update can be buggy if improper file is used for the update procedure.

I had gone through the same thing. My board is ASRock X79 E4. But here I am able to find the original bios file for the same. When I moved ahead with the update thing it crashed and it is not proper. It is giving me the same issue again and again. I carried the board to service center and they fixed it. Now the board is working fine. You will also have to do the same thing. Then only this issue will be resolved.
