Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 is the best Four cores working in parallel and can simultaneously run multiple demanding applications. SSSE3 instruction set was developed to improve performance with applications including video compression or encoding. This technology aims to create virtual machines and allows to run different operating systems simultaneously with a single physical computer. This processor supports the instruction set EM64T (Extended Memory 64 Technology) to meet future software developments and ensure the sustainability of the processor with maximum compatibility.

Re: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 vs Intel Pentium E5300

When Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 tested In all applications in which there are many parallel tasks - whether, for example, modern versions of software for image and video editing or graphic display - could pull the quad-processor has a significant computational advantage of its additional cores. In Cinebench 95, we identified an advantage of 68 percent compared with a E6600 processor, in the transformation of the H.264 Encoder v2, it is 58 percent. A similar picture is provided, the CPU runs the synthetic benchmarks 3DMark06 and PCMark05. In contrast, many current and older applications and most games have no or only minimal benefit from the two additional cores draw. In the benchmark table below for a comparison, the values of the low-CPU dual-core "Pentium D 820": The new processor is twice as fast, but nine times as expensive.

Re: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 vs Intel Pentium E5300

The "Core 2 Quad Q6600" is - apart from the fact that the name given to Intel assumes increasingly chaotic trains - much too expensive and worth it just for people who take advantage of massively parallel operating applications. But with the Intel Q6600 is also a sign: Quad processors are no longer pure show-off product, they will still appear in many other stages of development - and eventually replace the dual-core processors.

Re: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 vs Intel Pentium E5300

Recently, I am the proud owner of the CPU and completely satisfied and very glad I decided not to have a Core 2 Duo. Who often works in parallel with several programs will not have (CPU) capacity constraints more angry. No comparison with my totally overloaded Celeron 2.8GHz CPU with simultaneous use of multiple programs. More pleased me at video conversion, Nero Vision appears to utilize all the cores and needed another 24 minutes for a 700MB XVid to DVD conversion (old Celeron 2.8 GHz PC> 2 hours).

The E5300 is a good processor for light multitasking programs I've already quick 3 Internet Explorer windows open a mine and WORD documents. This pulls that are easy to vista then he has no trouble getting other programs to start. Eg If I am playing a game and you press alt tab, then he does best but he does it slow my previous AMD Sempron 1.6 GHz processor was then driven down.

    The specs

    1. 2.6 GHz clock speed
    2. FSB: 800MHz
    3. cache: 2mb

E5300 is easily overclockable to 3.2 ghz at idle than the temp around 40 degrees load at 60 degrees. The temps are not surprisingly high. Feather than this I did not go because I'd rather not break. But for someone who is going to buy a better cooler and you can really end up and I have already read that it is easy to clock to 4ghz.which does this processor so attractive for overclockers the 13x multiplier

The E5300 is a good mid-sized car for little money he is not meant for all serious gamers. But I play a lot of self cod: 4 this game is a cinch for him to play him hung 8x aa 45 fps the low fps is something that my video card. Play nowadays many cod mw 2 play him hanging without aa 40 fps. So overall good game / family processor multitasking for what tasks
