    Intel core i7 2700k vs i7 3930k

I am looking forward to upgrade my processor as soon as possible but I don’t know which one to choose for. The best thing is my motherboard and all other peripherals support the Intel core I 7 processor. There are lots of things I want to do in this computer like gaming, overclocking etc. Right now I am 2 options and they are:
    • Core i7-2700K Sandy Bridge 3.5GHz
    • Core i7-3930K Sandy Bridge-E 3.2GHz

    I need a good advise.

    Re: Intel core i7 2700k vs i7 3930k

I did the first test of Sandy Bridge-E Core i7 3930K (ES - engineering sample) using a motherboard with the X79 chipset (LGA 2011). The Core i7 3930K has 6 cores, 12 threads, 12MB L3 cache and runs at a speed of 3.20GHz stock that is raised to 3.8GHz in Turbo mode. The nomenclature "K" means that the CPU multiplier is unlocked for improved overclocking. The person who leaked benchmarks says that the Turbo mode was off to meet with the Core i7 980X with the same frequencies. I would be the right option if you are looking for the game as well as overclocking as it is very recent and advanced.

I think that the choice is completely based on future proofing. If you are just looking for play games and simple overclocking then 2700k is enough for your needs. However if you would like to do more like 3D, graphics design, CAD etc then you might need a little advance one like 3930K. As you know that 3930K is very expensive processor.

There will be no ambiguity about it, Intel is still the supplier of the world's fastest PC processors. Was it the last few months a fierce debate as possible about what really was faster CPU - Core i7 or Core i7 990X 2600K, this discussion is over. The Core i7 3930K 3960X and combine the extra cores of 990X with the architectural improvements of 2600K, plus quad-channel memory and an integrated PCI Express 3.0 controller. The result: a blood fast processor.

    That the i7 3930X still 2x as fast as the i7 920.

Just as long as gaming is just fine on a i7 2700 I do not think as a gamer to upgrade

The first Sandy Bridge-E has the VT-d (Intel Virtualization Technology for Directed I / O) error disabled by Stepping C1. It was a problem that did not resolve in time before its release. Stepping C2 the arrival of the day is scheduled for January 20, 2012, with him solve this problem. Processors Stepping C2 will be the hexa-core Core i7-3960X (3.3 GHz) and Core i7-3930K (3.2 GHz). Apart from solving the problem of VT-d, C2 revision includes new specifications and MM numbers, which would require that current motherboards BIOS update to a newer version.

Since all current Intel processors support AESNI instructions, the number of computational cores and Their Performance Determine the outcome of the encryption tests. Therefore, six-core processors are considerably ahead of the quad-core ones. However, it is still not enough to effectively compete alongside Core i7 2600K as well as Core i7 2700K, which effectively turns out faster in this case.

Which is the fastest CPU is conceivable, that will amount to spend: past, present and future, probably. The 3930K, which is a spacious will cost 500 Euros, is actually the nicest of the bunch. The difference in performance is very limited, while the price difference is huge.

It is unfortunate that there is not, as with the introduction of the Socket 1366 platform at the time, a model of around 300 euro. The Core i7 920 at that time was a big hit. In that segment, Intel is now selling the Core i7 2600K and 2700K.

In the case of the X79 chipset, there are no restrictions regarding overclocking. This means that can be overclocked by using multiplier and BCLK.

3930K Not worth it. The system will cost you 1000 Euros average at very little performance gain. Four memory modules, expensive motherboard and expensive CPU cooler must be purchased and also the power supply will probably have to be replaced also. That part is probably something for a complete transfer passenger from older systems and for people who want to use the awesome power system. For games, the 2700K, especially overclocked, completely sufficient. I think it is good 3 years.

The output of the Core i7 3930K, the new high-end Intel, recalls how AMD is behind the giant Santa Clara. The high-end green, the processor FX-8150, is relegated to light years and it is not clear how AMD will catch up one day Intel will tell.

Available at 555 dollars, the Core i7 3930K interest to amateur video editing, graphic rendering or in need of raw power. If you can afford more money then there is one more option for you apart from these 2 discussed in the thread and that is The Core i7 3960X, which is 4.6% better than the 3930K, which is low in relation to the price difference between these two models.

Exactly if you are an enthusiast than you must go for the 3930k with no compromising attitude carrying towards.
