MSI E350IA-E44 USB 3.0 connection lagging

Right now I have started using the MSI E350IA-E44 with Windows 7 Pro + 8GB ram. It has a USB3.0 and the firmware version is 4015 and driver is 2.0.34. Now the problem is during video playback over USB3.0 connection, the playback become idle for few seconds in the middle and resume again after 4 seconds. This problem happens after every 4 minutes. I didn’t have same kind of problem with USB2.0 though. How could be here?

A lack USB3.x port and lack of equipment USB3.x I cannot confirm that. Maybe it was the adapter which is defective or has used the wrong cable or no idea what it is actually. As I said,i do not believe everything that is there. Unfortunately the USB 3.0 signal is backward compatible with USB 2.0 though, traveling at different speeds and on different channels. This speed is immediately recognized by a PC that is managed by an operating system, but not by a device operated by a firmware. The adapter unfortunately does not change the signal converting USB 3.0 to USB 2.0.

For the problem described there is a solution that does not require an update of the driver at the end is the new power management features turned off. Alternatively, you can get a firmware update for the many external USB 3.0 enclosures.

According to Wikipedia is all compatible with each other. But an USB3.x device must be connected with the appropriate cable to a port USB2.x is to be recognized.

Re: MSI E350IA-E44 USB 3.0 connection lagging

All my hard drives without exceptions have this concern, and I have both WD and Seagate as Verbatim. So I look for a problem in PC, but it is appalling to see that we are not alone in experiencing this problem, which seems current. I note that all my hard drives are USB 2.0 hard drives, but the standard 3.0 is fully compatible with 2.0 devices! Instead, connect a mouse, a joystick or a keyboard to this port does not prevent the proper functioning of the entire device. I note however that when I plug my webcam Full HD (much better than the original) on USB 3.0 port, I get a Blue Screen of Death.

I heard that that there are new version of drivers and firmware available to download for different motherboards. I cannot really give you the link of the drivers since it is based on your model and your OS. But I know that there are completely compatible with most of the manufacturer’s products.

Re: MSI E350IA-E44 USB 3.0 connection lagging

The new USB 3.0 standard spreads rapidly and is already integrated in many motherboards. But, unfortunately, does Windows 7 from home with no out of USB 3.0 drivers. For the support of USB 3.0 peripherals, therefore, a suitable driver is required. Since most devices with the USB 3.0 interface is currently set on the controller from NEC, therefore provides the USB 3.0 host controller driver. These drivers are perfect for those who want to benefit from the enormous potential of the speed USB 3.0 interface.

Re: MSI E350IA-E44 USB 3.0 connection lagging

As you probably know, the USB 3.0 (SuperSpeed) uses the same connector as USB 2.0 (High Speed) but the technology involved is not the same: the version 3 uses fiber optics to a rate transfer significantly higher than that of version 2 (4.8 gigabits / s against 480 megabits / s). To overcome the problem, the USB 3.0 cable is actually composed of eight: four for the data using USB 3.0, two-mode data for USB 2.0 and two for power. In practice, it will be possible to use a USB 3.0 device with a USB 2.0 but not to use a USB 2.0 device into a USB 3.0 (but a USB 3.0 device mode USB 2.0).
