Need old BIOS for HP Z400

hi guys I need help on this I was giving a problem with the ES W3690 processor , and when I enquired about this I was told that the cure for this will be the Old Bios which might contain the microcode for ES processors. So I search on the web I didn’t find any old bios and on the HP support site they also have the latest version of the Bios over there. Can anyone here help me on this I am looking for the Bios version z400 v03.07 or any other old version for my computer . I would really be glad if someone here can help me on this

Hey can you tell me what exactly are you doing here . are you trying to installed the processor in a Z400 with 4 memory DIMM slots or are you installed the processor in a Z400 with 6 memory DIMM slots.

Hey thanks for the reply I really appreciate this . I was looking for the W3690 in my 4 DIMM z400 board. And I know that the v3.xx BIOS only for 6 DIMM z400 boards and it won't work on 4 DIMM boards. I flashed my 4 DIMM to the latest v3.54 BIOS . can you tell me if it possible to get the last v1.xx BIOS v1.17 for the 4 DIMM z400 boards so that I can flash back to correct generation of BIOS. Can any one here help me on this. I am finding it difficult to find the answer thanks

There is no v1.xx series BIOS from the HP web. It is because of the overcomplicating the BIOS update. Now let me explain technically even if you did the update BIOS v1.xx to v3.xx it will not change the boot lock . And that is fine unless you keep the original 35xx CPUs. A 36xx CPU on the v1.xx boot block might contain the problems, from microcode error to irregular booting, to freeze on the resume. There is very little HO workstation customers update the CPUs.

Hey I would like to tell you that the HP won’t support the upgrade of CPU officially for this reason as there has been many problems that is caused by the upgrade
