    Amd Fx-4100 3.6ghz Vs Amd Fx-6100 3.3ghz

Hi i am looking to buy new motherboard and processor for myself. I like AMD motherboard and processors. I want to buy ASUS M5A88-V EVO motherboard .I am not going with AMD Zambezi processors because they confuse me. Most of the people are suggesting me AMD Quad Core 3.6 GHZ for better gaming experience. I am also being recommended to buy Hexa Core 3.3 GHZ considering the future use. They both use same motherboard and same socket. So i just want to know which one should i buy for me? Also i would like to know which CPU cooler will work for me?

The AMD Quad Core which is also known as FX-4100 is actually a dual core processor. It has 2 integer pipelines and 2 integer processors, shared L2 cache, one decoder and FPU/SSE/MMX processor. It’s performance is also same as other the dual core processors. The FX 8150 processor has the performance that can be match with quad core processor. Why opt for the $ 150 FX-6100 when you get i3 at $ 135?

Hey, i have FX-6100 processor and never had any problems playing games on it. I have been playing Starcraft 2 and Star Wars: The Old Republic on it with high resolution lately. You should just have proper graphics card and that will help you for better experience. I have 6770 graphics card which is not so best but gives proper support. My cpu is also on 10 to 15 percentage only so that means my processor can support latest games also. Thus this processor is recommended by me for you. If you are more into playing the latest games.

I have Intel I5 with LGA1155 and i would say that it has better value for performance than AMD. If you compare AMD 750 to my i5 processor than you will see that it can do far better than AMD FX processor. You can see it makes a difference of almost 45 to 50% in their performances. Though the AMD FX 6100 works for you it is not good with the value for the money.

I did not buy the FX 6100 for highest performance and this was my own choice so you can’t argue with me that your Intel i5 is better than my processor. What is point in buying so expensive processor unless you are using some very intense applications . Any how the AMD FX completes all the necessary needs of gaming. Any user who doesn’t use this CPU will think that it really has some cons in it.

I still use my dual core processor system and it has been working fine for me. You should know how to use whatever you have got. For example look at console, though it is old in technology it has been kept fresh by optimizing them regularly. You can improve the performance of your CPU by overclocking it.

I am talking about workload that i5 can carry. My processor can compress the blue ray movie within 40% less time that of the AMD FX 8150. You can buy the Intel processor that is equivalent to the FX6100 at less than the price of the 6100. Equivalent of the 8150 in Intel is already out of the market so that is why i am asking you not to spend money on AMDFX processor. It has bad optimization and due which its performance is even worse than it’s previous processors. FX which is newly made by the AMD is actually equal to the Intel’s core 2 Quad. To get back into the market AMD will need something like the processors from Athlon series.

Who told you that console gaming are better?I was playing the “Rage” and i had to use only 4k texture on PlayStation 3 due to hardware limit. On high end system you can play this game at default 8k texture. Not just this game but you can also try Skyrim, battlefield 3 etc games to check yourself. You will see the difference.

I have AMD FX and i use it for HD video playback it also use very less of the GPU. Some videos were recorded at x264 and still was able to play rts. Performance of the processor can’t be measured and believed by what any website or any benchmark say , but you should say it after using it. I have never had any problems while using my processor either for gaming or for using any high end application.
