Most of the high configuration type of the games are not utilize the additional cores. They are just waste. Few application use such cores for better performance. Yes, such Sandy Bridge-E isn’t much benefit to manufacturer in upgrading. specially with in the case of the gaming performance. While if we compare it with the X58 and newly X79 platform gives much better ground. Hence for comparing with an price/performance and power/performance ratios, sandy bridge needs more improvement. I hope it will be corrected in the upcoming release.
