AMD FX-8130P AM3+ Processor not compatible with MSI 990FXA-GD80

I am getting many issues on MSI 990fxa-GD80 motherboard after installing the AMD CPU on it.
    • Razer Naga mouse and Blackwidow keyboard does not work properly with BIOS 11.6
    • No chance of OC CPU, only GPU OC
    • only 1333MHz on RAM
    • LONG POST SCREENS

There are more which are not major but causing much disturbance. Do you think that it is a compatibility issue?

Compatibility with socket AM3 processors allows us to analyze even motherboards with AM3 +, although not to the point of being able to take advantage of the specific innovations introduced just thinking about the combination with AM3 + processors. For this reason, in the course of performance we have adopted a Phenom II X6 1100T, currently the fastest among the proposed solutions for AMD desktop systems.

That's a 125W CPU i think and if you plan to overclock, take a board that can handle 140W CPUs. Because if you move toward the 140W comes with your overclock regulators fly out.

Re: AMD FX-8130P AM3+ Processor not compatible with MSI 990FXA-GD80

In recent months the emergence of information on the latest AMD socket AM3 + is clearly hinted that the solutions AM3 + could not be installed in motherboards with AM3, precisely because of the incompatibility with the mechanical pin. Later, some motherboard manufacturers in Taiwan have announced compatibility between the CPU socket AM3 + and its motherboard socket AM3, typically high-end: This information has suggested that the solutions AM3 + share with the AM3 socket number and type of contact pins, overcoming the mechanical limitation that AMD initially introduced.

your motherboard does not recognize the CPU. If you can return to the shop for a bios flash. Or a friend with an AM3 cpu to boot the last bios and set a date. Unfortunately it still happens to come across a case like this.

    It's not bad, but blocking.

The board comes with the distinctive look of the MSI boards combining black for the PCB and blue for the rest of the components, the AM3 + socket motherboard based on AMD chipset and incorporates 990FX/SB950 Premium electronic components for Military Class II components, including: Hi-C CAP, All Solid CAPs and Super Ferrite Chokes, a power stage 10-stage, OC Genie II button for overclocking, Reset and Power. This motherboard supports processors up to 140W TDP

Now would be interested in me again just what other people have as to temperatures. I'm still of the opinion that the temperature in the BIOS is incorrect.

Could test the AMD FX-8130P but had on several motherboards from different manufacturers, despite the new 990FX chipset often large problems. At Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD7 worked the turbo-core mode not always, the power saving feature Cool & Quiet behaved "strangely" and also the actual multiplier of the CPU could not be helped. The MSI 990FXA-GD80 settled with the FX-processor use at all, while on an Asus ROG Crosshair + V occurred except for the non-adjustable multiplier no problems.

I think that value of the above statements about the performance of the CPU, however, is strongly relativized by such basic problems in the interaction between the processor and motherboard. The shift of the launch of Bulldozer CPUs seems at least according to this information, no pure strategy, but to have been due to BIOS problems is also a necessity.

At least move the AMD Cpu, Intel is not as easy to sell, and only later to respond correctly, as the South Bridge where users at once that the mistake had their S-ATA HDD was not found. The problem lies with the board not the CPU!

Bulldozer is certainly an interesting alternative. Although performance is not exactly top, it is still more than adequate for most games.
