Computer turns on but wont boot

After purchasing hardware and putting them together ive encountered a problem, when i turn on the computer everything lights up, the fans start to spin and my optical drive light blinks. There is no picture on the monitor and ive tried switching out the cards to see if that was the problem and it didn't work, i then proceeded to clear the CMOS with the jumpers on the motherboard and still nothing changed im not getting any beeps from the post and i also tried to take out the ram and try certain ones and still nothing happened.

Parts:

MB: MSI 970A-G45
RAM: 4x 2gb Patriot G series 'Sector 5'
CPU: AMD FX-4100 Zambezi 3.6GHz socket AM3+ Quad-core
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 260 and also tested with XFX GeForce 9600 GSO
PSU: Rosewill 550w
HDD: 500GB

The hard drive, GPU, and optical drive were used in my previous computer and worked fine. Also some people have bought MSI boards before and this has happened. Please post any helpful tips that you can offer me, thanks a lot!

Can you try to remove all usb devices and see if the msi motherboard boots for sometime or not. If it boots then try to flash the mobo MSI USB flasher and after that check if the booting issue fades away or so.

Okay well i removed all usb deivces and tried booting up still didnt work so should i try and download a bios update put in on a usb and plug it and hope for the best?

I have the exact same problem with my new similar 4100 build.What was the resolution? Bios update? That is what I am going to try next with an older AM3 chip...
