Want to get ram at 2133 for my msi Z68A-GD80(B3)

I think that I have 1333Mhz MB and I want to install all and update the bios .My problem is that when I enable the XMB option the speed changes to 2133Mhz. I think the voltages regulates too when I hit the XMB option. So I save the settings along with reboot. Following that it appears like it doesn't get again before rebooting again. And I have to reset the jumper to fix it. Is there a way to get this memory working at 2133 on this MB?

I would recommend as a first step to you to set the RAM manufactures settings by yourself, primarily the voltage, speed and settings as written on the devices - the BIOS isn't ideal and might not select up the whole thing from the SPD settings properly for all RAM's.

I received the timings and voltage when I looked up the memory of the website. In order to modify the timings, I booted into the bios. I received 3 choices all collectively. Auto, Link, and Unlink. But I am unable to trace the difference. The timing configuration which I received was 15 and some variables to change.

I got into the timing configuration and there were about 15 or so variables to change
    I only changed
    CL---9
    RCD -11
    RP---10
    RAS--28
Voltage-1.69 (I only had the option to choose 1.65 nearby.
I performed that but, it just continues rebooting at the time of the POST.

I will advise you for loosening of those timings to 11.11.11.30. The meaning of link will enable you to relate the values those are similar to every memory modules. Have a Try to begin with an individual memory module in the slot which is nearby to the CPU. If it is possible in this case for having a boot, add the second one just next to it.

I would recommend at this point contacting the RAM manufacturer, for further details or visiting their site. It may be that they propose to try & set them up to run at 2133 as you wished for.

It depends on the number of sticks of RAM you are running. I have 4. I'm also running 2133MHz RAM (G-Skill) @ CAS 9-11-10-28 with no concerns. I would recommend One main note though, to have it set the command rate to 2N otherwise it is unable to boot with 4 sticks. You might want to make sure regarding the setting in addition. It might solve the issue.
