The MSI 870A-G54 feature set is a bit bland and its board design is no different. I'm currently running a MSI 870A-G54 with 4 gigs (2x2) of GSKILL RIPJAWS F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL memory. There is not any type of connectivity or compatibility problem arriving onto it. I buy this mobo in last month and features of these mobo are very good as compared with the other mobo. I haven’t seen MSI 870A-G54 FX but I really like the way MSI 870A-G54 perform task.

Based on AMD 870 and SB850 chipset, this MSI 870A-G54 ATX board is intended to support the latest processors and few examples of such processors are as Athlon II Sempron 100 and AM3 Phenom I. hence I don’t think so that there is much problem arrives onto it if you try to do such advanced processor installation task onto it. Hence if you buy one of such processor then use MSI 870A-G54 mobo on your system.

Re: MSI 870A-G54 FX vs. MSI 870A-G54

Recently launched MSI 870A-G54 FX motherboard has to be specially built for the advanced processors. If you want to buy any processor that need AMD+3 socket then definitely such MSI 870A-G54 FX motherboard helpful to you for connectivity purpose. The brand new AMD AM3+ multi-core processors have more cores and larger L3 cache memory capacity. There is no extra task (such as bios update or chipset driver update) task not necessary onto it. It allows you the ability to scale your system’s graphics horsepower as you need it. Hence I think if you still not buy any processor or motherboard, then this MSI 870A-G54 FX motherboard is best choice. It works well for improving system performance.
