- Not getting sound on k9n neo v2/v3 (MS-7369)

I am having k9n neo v2/v3 (MS-7369) and it was working fine by now but I don’t know what went wrong with it and I am not getting any sound. I am using windows solution and I have not yet found a solution for this I have seen solution for other windows version for xp and vist but I am looking for a solution for windows 7.Is there anyone who is aware of this problem in windows 7 and can help me out. Any help regarding this will be appreciated.

Yes even I am looking for a solution for this problem in windows 7.My system information are as followed:

• CPU: DualCore AMD Athlon 64 X2, 2885 MHz (14,5 x 199)
• Motherboard: MSI K9N Neo v2/v3 (MS-7369) A7369NMS V2.6
• RAM: 1x Kingston 99U5429-003.A00LF 1GB DDR2-800 6-6-6-18 (400MHz)
• Graphic Card: NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS 256 MB

What you can try is just got to the control panel and then click on the administrative tools and the click on the computer management and then in the left side of the window you will find a option “device manager” just select the device manger software and then in the right pane you will find all the list of the drivers and then just check for your sound driver and then uninstall it and then reinstall the latest driver and then check if it is helping you or not. Make sure that you login with the administrator account in order to have the permission to uninstall it.

If you think that there is some kind of problem with your sound driver than I will suggest you to follow the above path and when you are able to see your sound driver in the list than just check if it is showing a yellow exclamation mark or not. If you find something like that then you will have to update the driver or repair it so first try to repair it using the repair disc. What you have to do is just insert the cd and then right click on your sound driver and then click on the repair option and then it will automatically browse the driver for the cd and will install it. After this process is done just check if it has helped you or not if not then you can try to update your driver using the internet.

I will suggest you to uninstall the audio driver in the safe mode rather than trying to remove it in the normal mode and you can also use the “Driver sweeper” in order to uninstall it and yes you can very well install the Realtek High Definition Audio Driver which has been suggested you above. I have been using this driver from a long time in my windows xp and it is the best one as well. Just try to follow the above steps and then you will definitely solve your problem if there is no kind of hardware fault. Best of luck.

Just to make it simple for you:

• Go in to safe mode
• Run driver sweeper
• Uninstall the sound driver you have
• Install the new driver in safe mode
• Reboot and install new drivers in normal mode

I will suggest you to Test the motherboard by taking it out from the case in order to check if the motherboard is not resulting in any kind of shorts. Just let the CPU and heat sink, memory, and video card stay connected to the motherboard and then just place it on some wooden material and then test it out. Make sure that the case mounting standoffs are well lined up with the the mounting holes. Just be careful while performing this and see if you are able to detect any such cause.
