    Getting BSOD with Corsair TWIN2X4096-6400C5C

This is a very bizarre trouble I have is in banks 1 and 4 dual channel if I run the RAM in sync with the FSB of the CPU, of course, I'm running at low speed of 667MHz and I am able to -4 to 15 4-4 to go with the times and the PC is not blocked and is ultra stable, but as soon as I get the memory and the type not connected at 800 MHz and 5-5-5-18 times using my PC I can get a BSOD with error MEMORY MANAGEMENT I’m planning a PC upgrade in the near future, but it would be nice to get the bandwidth memory I paid for actual use, I have tried all sorts and RAM is stable only when synchronized with the CPU @ 667MHz and is unbalanced.

    Specification:
    • CPU: E6700 2.66 GHz
    • Motherboard: IN9 32x MAX
    • Graphics Card: XFX XXX Geforce 280 GTX
    • OS: Windows 7 Ultimate

I just read the MB manual. In fact, the memory has to be one three slots for dual channel functioning. . That picture in the manual is confusing at first. But it is showing through slots DIMM 1 as a reference. Not that I need to be in DIMM slots 1.and 4. You should have two different colored DIMM slots. Two of one color, two of another. The manual will turn blue and purple. They must be in the blues.

Well, actually, the manual shows a picture of slots blue, purple and blue slots another sample picture and black .shrugs. In any case, use the slots of the same color for both DIMMs. Use the slot closest to the CPU and the other slot on the DIMM.

I would ask that a module in slot 3 and try again. Be sure to clear the CMOS and then go from there. Once in your BIOS go ahead and create their times and voltages and see what happens.

If this is a no go then try each stick on its own in the first position with Memtest86 + in the first slot. Let it run at least 4 passes or until an error occurs. If one of the sticks is bad, this will show very quick.

my bad is 1 + 3 slots are supposed to use the slots closest to the CPU and you answered correctly, I was thinking of running a Memtest, surely if one stick is bad, you should get a 667 accidents MHz? without taking into account that no crashes or BSOD @ bottom of this speed can slow down or mask bad ram sticks? What about trying a stick in the slot of a @ 800mhz and see if only one of them causes the error MEMORY_MANAGEMENT occurs very quickly after starting the windows, making it easy to produce an error so if one makes the BSOD and another not, then I can try the stick in question with Memtest

I would check the modules at one time and make convinced you locate the time yourself at 5-5-5-15 when setting the frequency at DDR800.

All the documentation you can find these @ 5-5-5-18 I them@1.8v classified as they are rated, so you should try one stick at a time in slot 1 @ 800 MHz? To observe if I get BSOD with each of them, very strange that the PC works without error @ 667 MHz, I thought that if the RAM is bad to be blocked even at low speeds regardless.

I would powerfully propose memtest for testing the modules.

And the settings should 6400C5C TWIN2X4096-CAS 5-6-6-18 at 1.8 volts, but remember that there are more than overclocking the CPU clock will be more memory as well. So some additional power for memory and memory controller may be necessary.

So I was at 667 MHz Memory RAM with memtest and two sticks and was unreadable text on the screen was freezing when I checked the subsequently morning, he tried utmost voltage and 1.9V on the Northbridge and memory set to 800 MHz, not connected to @ 800 MHz processor and blue screens and remains still restarted the PC with no mistake communication as soon as I obtain back to 667 MHz that runs no crashes or BSOD, I also had to do a CMOS restore last week so my CPU was back in action and the time of unlink the ram and put it at 800 MHz and again BSOD error happened Memory Management even with the CPU .

Only it does not work in absolute mode not connected, no matter what I can change the settings, could be the fact of the review of the RAM is newer and this has had no BIOS upgrade for 3 years, as it was to bankruptcy. I will try both sticks individually overnight and see what happens, I just hope that I have no troubles with my newly built PC will be soon, was looking at receiving the Reds
