ohmy asus m2n-mx se plus MB -no screen

Built barebones kit from Tiger Direct.
MB is a Asus M2n-MX SE Plus
with AMD2 chip & Graphic card is Nvida Geforce 9800 Gt.
All fans work & lights on Mb but no screen from Aesus boot disk. Using older monitor that worked on another machine. Tried VGA port on board & VGA adaptor on graphic card.
No extra memory on MB at present.

Do I have to remove the battery & reset jumpers ?
    Or what ?

    Thanks, in advance fo advice.

I tried removing & resetting the chasie speaker. it is a tiny 1/2 in unit tht attaches to the board with a very shory cable. i assume that with the word 'speakers' up it is on right.

    no beep whatsoever.
    any suggestions ?

    thanks

Motherboard blown most likely reason. Is everything else "on" i.e.can you hear the hdd spinning, the cpu fan spinning, the cd/dvd drive working?

I did not have the EATX12V power plugger in & now I can hear speaker ( barely)
geting : "1 long, 2 short : Indicates a video error has occurred and the BIOS cannot initialize the video screen to display any additional information"

Any suggestions how to fix this _ i ttried vga in both board & videocard slots.

    This worked: from Tigerdirect forums
"had the same ''no-post, no video'' problem as most of the people here
are reporting, but there's a simple fix. Between the PCI slot and the PCI
Express slot is a little blue jumper marked ''resetRTC'' (Reset the Real
Time Clock). Just put this jumper on the other side (reset the clock)
leave it there, turn on the power supply, hit the power button, and then
pull the jumper and put it back. The moment you pull the jumper, the
machine will boot and work correctly from that point on. This works even
    with both memory sticks installed.

    Thanks,

I was aware of the jumper fix as i bought the mb from tiger direct. The problem was a faulty case power switch which was a pos design. thanks

Thanks aswell, fixed two computers in 20min because of this CLRTC trick with the jumpers next to the battery one of em was the M2N-MX Asus mobo and another one was an elitegroup mobo both had batteries that had died out and im guessing the bios and cmos were corrupt because of that.

Next step was to reset them using pins two and three and a jumper.

First atempt didn't work but that was with the battery being flat,
for some reason the when i changed the battery and then reset the bios with the jumper across the two pins, it worked probably because the battery helped it recognise the reset. I'm not too sure why, if anyone knows why post it up!
