MSI P35 Neo and Intel Pentium E5800 compatibility

Currently I am using MSI P35 Neo motherboard with Intel E2200 on it. For now I am looking to upgrade the CPU to E5800. I heard that it fits well on this and it is also well on my budget. I know that it is good enough for my needs. However the problem is I cannot able to find the compatibility of this processor on the MSI website. This processor is not listed there. Is there any kind of BIOS update for this motherboard? This processor needs a 65W power + is based on 45nm architecture which is same as my previous CPU had. By looking at outside it seems to be fairly compatible. What more?

If you can do without NEN Quad Core, the E8500 is not bad, perhaps a cheaper quad-core, which you then something overclockers a solution? These do not you buy still a good cooler such as the Mugen 2 (ca 35 €) and then still nen cheap Q8200 (approx. 120 €), then you were just over 150 €.

Did the board have two in my PC, which also operated ne long time with only one 4pin connector goes without problems; it is only at OC advisable to use 8-pin NEN. Usually cover is also ne from the 8pin socket factory so that you can always plug in only NEN 4pin plug. If I pack both into a socket, I think I read or write error crashes after a short time because my PC than a short time after I'm in Windows..... Are there any BIOS setting that you can make? Find one that is not really indicative of memory or dual channel.

I put an Intel Q8400 MSI P35 Neo2 my, unfortunately, is not recognized as the quad-core processor at 2.66 GHz, but as a P4 at 3.0 GHz! I have already installed the latest bios (version 1.C from 31.12.2009). According to the MSI web site should be operating without any problems. Also named on the website code is the CPU-engraved with the match on the Q8400. I've flashed the BIOS from Windows 7 with the MSI tool. A Q6600 at 2.4 GHz is easily recognized.

MSI Live Update is not only generally a silly, but also a very risky tool when it comes to BIOS updates. Please try again in future BIOS update purposes to avoid completely (in your own interest). With version v1.10 1A0 or you have the latest final release on your board, no matter what (uninstall and best forgotten) MSI Live Update display Dir. The most obvious assumption is that the BIOS is in flash by MSI Live Update on Windows is not completely written correctly on the chip and therefore you get this message from the flasher, if that checks the active BIOS under DOS:

Your CPU is only since the BIOS supports 1.7. Look on the board near the upper PCIe slots, there is a small sticker on the BIOS version is present. If there are less than A7360IMS.170, so you need a CPU that is supported from the release BIOS, and then have to update the BIOS. I'm assuming that the BIOS version will be less than 1.7. Thus you would need a CPU; the page delivery is supported by the BIOS to 1.7 then to flash. The power supply delivers 18 amps, according to sticker on 12 + volts. If the power supply reaches this value, then this should suffice.
