| Re: MSI 870A-G54 showing only 2GB RAM
To ask low voltage modules to 1.8V memory voltage is alone already lightly. You realize that you are all about 1.65 V with risking your warranty? After every one change of memory a correct bios reset (reset CMOS) made or not? Your motherboard is compatible with all DDR3 PC10600/8500/6400 So you can buy what you want. I took exactly the same card with 2x2 xms. By cons when I read the documentation that came with the motherboard side there is a written briefs ----> DDR3 1600 (OC). So I think that overclocking needed. I think that the issue is because of the BIOS update: normally without any problems if you do everything right. |

Have you left the memory setting to auto? The Ram determined needs more juice. 2.0 volts. Run your Ram's in the slot 1 and 2? I know this is only Single Channel. But the problem I want to get on the track. A guess would be both RAMs not come from the same batch, but cannot actually be there is a DC kit; other possibility would be that the second RAM is faulty, since it seems to run but only as supported. CMOS reset is very big in my signature, just click on it. But it's true you already have to press the little red button, only the PC should be there normal |

| Re: MSI 870A-G54 showing only 2GB RAM
I've seen it and physically 3GB RAM the system detects only 2.75 GB. I think the reason is that after a certain amount of memory installation the bios memory reserved for peripherals. Now that would fall into your time at the 800 - 900mb! Well that is not satisfied. I would try it, remove all USB devices and then check again the detected storage amount. I'm also the presumption that the same amount of ram in the bios main memory reserved as you ram. |

The MSI MS-6701 memory can be expanded to a maximum of 2GB RAM. For a maximum memory expansion slots are available to the device 2 (-space) available. The maximum memory capacity may possibly differ from the manufacturer as they may now be outdated. New storage technologies, and Bios - or versions of this software make possible the same performance and stability. System requirements of the MSI MS-6701 and can be used together with the original modules. With additional RAM (memory) your system uses is faster and more powerful. For MSI MS-6701 - motherboard, we recommend a maximum of 2GB RAM memory upgrades. A memory upgrade is recommended if you access with multiple memory-intensive applications, like image editing software to work. |

The important thing is what do you have for a board? It can always be compatibility issues but that one can only say if you know the system configuration. Furthermore I heard that the Windows 7 the 32 bit version cannot just up to 4 GB of RAM, 3.25 GB when it goes well addressed. |

Your computer is working in dual channel and operates with a memory bus width of 128bit instead of 64bit. You have DDR3 memory. The real work with 532MHz, which are effective 1064MHz. But we need real 667 to effectively come in 1333. Ie that the dividers in the BIOS to be changed. Just take the modules out and test them both again individually in each slot. Change always do after a CMOS reset when the mains plug before starting the system. |
