Upgrading to Intel core i7-2600k processor or ivy Bridge processor

I get to upgrade my pc i7-2600K, but I heard that the 22 nm processor architecture with Ivy Bridge, so I need some advice whether to wait for the ivy bridge process or I can continue my i7-2600K The main use is x264 encoding and games.
    • My upgrade plans are as follows:

Intel Core i7-2600K Processor 3.4GHz 8 MB Cache Socket LGA1155
    Corsair Vengeance 8 GB ( 2 x 4 GB ) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800) 240-Pin DDR3
    ASUS LGA 1155 SATA 6Gbps USB 3.0 Supported Intel Z68 ATX DDR3 2400 Motherboards P8Z68-V PRO (Or) GA-Z68X-UD3R-B3

The answer may depend on how long you are willing to wait. Ivy Bridge will not be out for another 6 months at least. In addition to the game, a 2600K is usually more than enough gaming performance is based primarily on the GPU to use. I am facing the same decision, and I think I'll wait until the Ivy Bridge. I have a Q6600 @ 3GHz and prefer to wait one more generation.

The price is pure speculation at this point, but based on product roadmaps, the first Ivy Bridge should include a SKU at a price similar to 2600K (SKU, as well as lower prices). Yes, although not essentially signify a motherboard that supports the sand bridge supports Ivy Bridge. BIOS updates may be required. The SB-E (in particular, 6C versions) to be known before Ivy Bridge will be great for multi-threaded applications, but also be very expensive, especially when taking into account the cost of the platform (motherboard) . Bulldozer should also be decent in multithreaded applications (although nobody really knows what is done against a 2600K yet), will be relatively cheap, and should be in a couple of months.

I just ordered a 2500K to replace my Phenom II 965 system. I say it will be enough power for a while, but nothing is obsolete. The other side of the coin is that without spending much money to update it, you'll feel like you have to stay with him long, long past the time when even economic systems smoked. I think the best is to keep a current mid-range and exchange system that every year or so.

I want to see what he does in Bulldozer x264 because it might be very close to the SB-E 6core in the price of normal SB. Anyway waiting for IB is waiting for 3 / 4 of a year is pretty useless, certainly when compared with today. So basically, if you go for an urgent need of 2600 (If c - 2600K). If you can wait two months, waiting for the results of used AMD and then make your selection. If you can wait a year, see above and buy when you know what BD brings to the table.

One of my problems with motherboards with support for BD that are out now, is that they are basically the same old boards and chipsets around the world had before with the 880 and 890, etc. I mean having to change anything in all? Still it does not support USB 3.0, of course, to be fair, the Z68 does not have this right together. We can say however that at least Z68 together with new features such as virtuous and caching SSD. One reason I gave up and went with a bridge of sand is so tired of the chair and trash solution of 6 GB sata AMD and drivers. Is this going to be better for the board bd none at all?

Intelligent answer is a software solution for real. No dependence on hardware. Intel could be implemented in any chipset reality. They only had to justify the coming of a chipset of the subsidiary bodies, as well as quick synchronization does not work when it needs to be combined with the ability to OC. Compared with a P55, you just get two SATA3 ports and that's it! In fact, the same is true when compared with the P45 too! Anyone can have a PCIe controller with money SATA3 negligible.
