    Suitable memory for MSI G41M-P23

I want to buy a new MSI G41M-P23 Memory board as my last board is not performing well. So I have finally made the decision that I am going to purchase a new one for my personal usage. I also want to purchase compatible DDR3 memory for it. So now the point is what bios setting should I make for it? I also heard that that the RAM has the varying voltage. i.e from 1.35 to 1.65. So is it ok to use anything between this range of voltage?

I also want to purchase a good personal computer so that I can use it well and it works for me for years to years. So I have decided to buy the same mother board as it is mentioned here. So tell me also tell me also what kind of RAM will be suitable for me also? Let me tell you all that I want to use this computer for home usage only which includes playing some games, my games would be normal and not too high-five. Surfing on the net and all the basic things. So am planning for 4 GB of RAM is it ok?

This is for all the home users’ i.e who don’t use their toy i.e computer for very high-five usage. Taking more memory runs your computer nice but there is no point in wasting the memory. This only costs you more in terms of money and nothing else. For Basic things mentioned as in the above answer 2 GB of RAM is more than enough for you. Because that does not take up more memory. And yes of you are hard gamer or you have more money to spend than you can also go for 4 – 8 GB of RAM.

This reply is for the person who is interested in some detail setting of their device. That is the person who has posted this query. You get a JEDEC standard 1066/1333 which will operates at 1,5V. By doing this your system will boot at 1333 so you have to adjust your DRAM ration on your BIOS. By doing this your memory will run at 1066 at the timing of 7.7.7.21

Re: Suitable memory for MSI G41M-P23

To be more clear about the previous reply. I would like to say that memory controller supports DDR3-1066, though it can support 1066 you can also run it at 1333. If you set up the BIOS to 1333 then your system may run stable. If you are using high RAM than the memory controller may become unstable and in this case you need to set up the memory to 1066 or increase the DRAM voltage.
