Need help with MSI 890fxa-gd70 12 gigs RAM?

Hello friends I have a little problem with my RAM Cmx4gx3m1a1333c89. I have 2 Corsair 4GB GSkill ram and a jaw-rip-f3 10666cl9s 4gbrl and my bios says 8 GB of RAM when I have 12 gigs installed. I installed Windows 7 64 bit and it says 12 gigs installed, but can only use 8 gig. How I can solve this problem? I called the support center and update the BIOS. I have 1.9, and that is the highest in the place. Please help.

Remember never to mix ram. In first place with 3 DIMMs running in single channel mode. If you want to have more than 8G and going to have to go to 16G 4x4GB which itself can cause problems believe me. You should buy ram from the same supplier matched once at the same and the part numbers and a full set if possible. Even if all the sticks are compatible with AMD and MB by mixing it may make it incompatible.

I am using Corsair XMS3 cmx4gx3m1a133cp. On April 3rd I installed RAM chips i.e. DDR2 DIMM slots 1, 2, 3. Bios say that I have eight gigs, but the windows say that 12 gigs. I have a 4 RAM chip in your model in the same way as everyone else. In the BIOS shows I have 3 RAM chips there, but only read eight gigs. I heard that I have the ram kit but I do not know it at the moment. The ram is the same brand and size and model specifications are the same. I was told when I called MSI support is a bios problem. So you can see in yours it might be the same problem with you.

There is nothing to do with MSI, the memory controller is inside your CPU, and have seen many AMD CPU not supporting 3 sticks. The reason behind this is that it has two memory channels not 3 or 4. Some of CPU can be made from a single channel 4, while others cannot. Unfortunately they do not specify the AMD CPU can and cannot. As well as the general rule we can say that everyone using 1, 2 or 4 sticks, but not three. So just change it if possible.

Hello friend is not just like you who are having this problem. You know I see a lot of people who have the same problem with this motherboard that does not use the entire RAM installed. It must be the bio that causes this. Try the ram on a friend's home PC and check if your RAMs are working or not. If not, then it is definitely the motherboard problem. Just check this out and see what exactly the problem is.

Who says it only has 8GB instead of 12? Is this a 64-bit program you use? Is this a legal version of Windows? And also three memory sticks is not a good configuration for AMD CPU! The BIOS should also report 16GB. I've seen people complain about the power supply that do not have enough energy to power all the modules. As such, Windows will also provide this information. You have to make the 16GB BIOS report or else it will not work.

Reset the CPU and check for bent pins. Put another CPU and see what happens. Also tell me when you found whether there is a difference between 8 and 12! And the speed difference between 1600, who said in an overclock, and 1333 is very small. There is 16% if that's what you're thinking. Use 1333 and then "work" with the processor, if you want better performance. Usually, it is also equal or better to minimize the demand for memory, for example, to turn off startup programs that increase supply. Fewer problems with a stream lined system.
