MSI K8T Master2 FAR7 having no video with ATI HD3850

Hi just bought a new Master2 FAR7 to update my system. But when I boot I have no video at all, just a sound and then I see the lights of the hard disk drive. OST275FAA6CB I have an Opteron 275 and 2 x 1 GB and 2x1 GB Apacer Infineon PC2700 CL2.5 Registered ECC RAM. My power supply is a LC Metatron 1 kW, so do not think it's a power problem. The video card is working on another computer and was working with this particular power supply. Is it a video card incompatibility?

Try against some other AGP card or a PCI card, maybe your card is incompatible or slot is broken. Did you insert the card until the end? AGP is very sensitive to it. In addition, the CPU is inserted? Checksum error is normal, enter the BIOS (setup), save and exit, and then the checksum error should be away. AGP are the rules, and 8x is 0.8V. If your old card was 1.5, then there was AGP 8x but 4x. It is not the problem unless your card is not compatible with AGP, but I find it hard to believe. But as said, try a memory stick to see if it works or not. I do not care about the programs at this stage, only why there is an error. By the way, what program are you using and what operating system? Just tell me.

Does the card work at all? Have you tried it on another machine? If the card is good, then simply do not work together. I looked at eFilm Workstation, but is 64 bits, so you will not use 4 GB, as well as with 32 bits, about 3 GB. You cannot even run at all W7: Supported Operating Systems are Windows 2000 Professional with Service Pack 4 or higher and Windows XP Professional SP2.

AGP 8x = 0,8V signaling. Although the bus offers more then only signaling. If the card needs 1.2v then the card is not AGP 8x compatible. Are you sure it's inserted all the way? Did you connect the motherboard extra AGP power? If still you are unable to solve the problem then I think nothing left to be said but ask MSI directly. Just check this out and I hope at least MSI will be able to solve your problem.
