    How to predict CPU temperature?

Hello friends hi there is a problem occurring in my mind that we know the core temperature depends upon the following parameters:
    • Vcore.
    • Operating frequency.
    • Central processing unit utilization.
    • Central processing unit case airflow.
But I have a problem that is there any specific formula or model realting to all of these or any of these parameters with the Central Processing Unit core temperature. Thanking in advanced for helping me and giving me your suggestion.

Re: How to predict CPU temperature?

Hey dude I would like to suggest you that there are too many factors to predict this with any usable accuracy:

    • Ambient temperature
    • Amount of dust on the heat sink.
    • Quality and application of thermal compound between heat sink and Central Processing Unit.
    • Airflow from cooling fan.

These are the more prediction that comes on the top of the factors that you are already listed. Sorry to say that but, no, you cannot predict accurately what the temperature will be. But in that case you can use thermal sensors and a decent front panel with temperature display if you are over locking and want to keep track of the temperature at all times.

Hey buddy I would like to suggest you that nope. The factors you need are:
    • Central processing unit power consumption.
    • Ambient temperature.
    • Core-to-sink (CTS) thermal resistance.
    • Sink-to-case (STC) thermal resistance.
I think so that if you know these four than you can calculate the core temperature as:
(Core temperature)= (ambient temperature) + [(power) / [(CTS resistance) + (STC resistance)]]

Re: How to predict CPU temperature?

Hey dude from the discussion going on I would like to recommend you that predicting the core temperature by formula depends on the processor’s company that is whether your processor is AMD (Advanced Micro Device) or Intel etc.

    The solution for Intel is:

There is a thing called as T junction for its processors. It has the range of 80 to 100 degree Celsius temperature. This T Junction can be read in one of the Model Specific Registers (MRS in short). Another specific model specific register has the temperature data.
    Formula for core temperature is:
Core Temperature = T junction Temperature – Temperature acquired from the other MSR.
And the solution for Advanced Micro Device:

    Formula:
    • Athelon 64 series: CT= value – 49 (value provided by special register In AMD [this] processor series).
    • Latest series: value / 8.
