upgrading from i3 core to i5 core or i7 core on intel dh55tc motherboard

    Hi Everybody,

I'm planning to upgrade my PC towards graphics card and processor level a little, so need your help regarding this.
my configuration is: core i3 530, intel gh55tc motherboard, 6 gb 1333mhz ram, xfx radeon hd4890 graphics card, with cooler master 650w psu.
    monitor is samsung b2030 (1600x900)
now is it possible to upgrade this to i5 or i7 and to a modest direcx 11 supporting graphics card (within 20000 inr (and radeon preferred)) without any more change?

    thanks a lot guys...

Are you sure that the motherboard on which you want to upgrade the processor is intel gh55tc motherboard? Because to me it seems like there are not any intel motherboards with that model or make. And to be precise i3 core and i5 core socket type are LGA 1156 where else i7 core Socket type is LGA1366, so you will need a completely different motherboard for the i7 core processor.

idea re: upgrading from i3 core to i5 core or i7 core on intel dh55tc motherboard

First of all thanks for replying unidentified.
yes you are absolutely right, i misspelled it, its an intel dh55tc not gh55tc!

ok, for the later part, forget about i7, an i5 will be good enough for me. so main thing is if i do an upgrade in processor and graphics card section, will this board give me a bottleneck in anyway? to be honest i'm an amateur gamer and likes to play all these heavy 3d titles with pretty much with maximum settings and yes my 4890 is doing its job quite beautifully, its the thing that its a direct x 10.1 card and i was thinking of moving to a direct x 11 card if possible on my current motherboard.
hope i'm clear enough towards my intension..
    thanks guys...

Well if you are gamer then the config need must be high and here i don't think the processor matters because i am working on the core 2 duo and playing all the latest games rather i would say that the graphic card used by me is high in standards.

I am a die hard fan for ATI video cards, although I dont like its processors, so presumably a ati video card with an intel processor would be of great usage. So, I would suggest you to go for the SAPPHIRE HD 6850 1GB GDDR5 PCIE which is a DirectX 11 and DirectCompute 11 video card that comes at around Rs. 9,950.00. And similarly an Intel Core i5 750 Processor would cost you approx. Rs. 10,500 or less, which comes in your budget.
