AMD Phenom II X4 965 VS AMD Phenom X4 9650

Hello friends. Greetings to all of you out there. I hope you all have been doing well. Basically, I play games on a processor X4 9650 for some time now. I simply actually play starcrsft and I can pretty much max out the settings with the help of my video card . However, now I wish to upgrade in order to play BF3 spending as modest as probable - by keeping my MOBO intact.Someone is selling it at discounted rate. Should I go for X4 965. Is it worth buying ? Please give me some suggestions. Thanks in advance for taking out time and replying.

Hey buddy. I am doing well and hoping that it is the same case at your end. Well, I would like to recommend you something after looking at the above thread. I would like to confirm from your side whether the price of the X4 965 is below130 US dollars. If it is then I feel that you should purchase it. About 1.8x at the rate of stock is a ballpark estimate, given that you are still running ddr2. I am hoping that you like my update. Thank You.

Hey I feel that you should skip that gen because I according to me it is a garbage. A X4 965 is not anything to sneeze at and is pretty solid. However, in any case you are able to find a 955 for a improved agreement then there is no harm in jumping into it. I would like to bring to your notice that you wouldn’t be noticing much differentiation between 955 and 965 at stock . Also I wish that you had mentioned whether you plan to and wish on OCing?.

Hi dude. I am fine. I would like to tell you something related to the above discussion which is going on . Firstly, Ddr2 vs ddr3 is more or less beside the point in view of the fact that the dissimilarity in benchmarks is like 4 to 5 percentage on an average. It has more to do with memory OC potential and also IMC which is used in later steppings. I'd be very hard pressed to find 1600MHz DDR2, particularly not at a decent and an upright price

Hello. On a personal front, I have had the Phenom II 555 and the Phenom II 965. At the same time as my Phenom II 965 was a slightly easier to OC, the 555 was an overwhelming deal. I must have tested up to 7seven or eight of them, one was DOA, among the others each and every one unlocked cent percent stable to quad core, the one I am on at the present moment does 3.6GHz easy on quad core .They are a indeed great Control Processing Unit for a tiny price
