Intel 2600K or amd PHENOM II X6 1100T

Looking for a new team in the current budget with the Q6600. Well, I am very impressed with the power of raw 2600K, but again my friends are saying to get the 1100T X6 for 6 cores and other materials. They are even saying that if you get a good overclock with the 1100t X6 will then be near or equal to 980X is it true? Um not sure. Again had that problem recently 2600K chipset. So if I get the 2600K with the desire to be the best overclocking motherboard for it? And if I get the 1100T to be the best overclocking board for it. I'm new AMD motherboard and very confused about his appointment

Your friends are lying; the 1100t does not approach the 980X in anything. The 2600K is a much better value for money. You get low power consumption, less heat, and GHz in the air almost certainly 4.6. And do not worry; the problem is with the P67 chipset itself, not the CPU. As for overclocking good p67 boards? All great overclocking, which is the beauty of the sand bridge, and you do not have to have a high-end motherboard to overclock a high level, since everything is based on the multiplier and not the core clock.

As the above person said that your friends are lying and you should see some banks. That 100T not even come close to 2600K, 2500K, or 980X. If you want to stay AMD excavator is expected to be released, although it may be a bumpy launch, with no hope. The 2500K and 2600K are powerful chips and great for overclocking, the revised tables will come soon, I advise waiting until then, or start doing some research and buy the other things you need like, RAM, power supply , video card, etc.

Any mid-level card from Asus or Gigabyte is doing well now, although I had some problems with my Gigabyte card i have since resolved the folds, was very careful at first, but I have it under control. If you want something a little higher end of the Asus Maximus Extreme IV is great and so is the gigabyte UD7 the UD7 be my current board. Revised tables still a little over a month at this point.

It is not really the number of cores you want to be concerned about is the performance has over the other in the performance of a single thread. What I mean is that a nucleus in the 2600K core 1100t vs 1 in the sand is going to win every time, once more central to the 2600K core vs. a 1 in the sand 980X still going to win. The 980X is separated just because it has 6 cores over 4. This is due to the completely new architecture compared to the old donkeys that x6 K10 is used. If I would tell my friends that are sandy or screw and bridge the current situation that I wait to see what it can offer excavator before pulling the trigger.

A 980X underclocked still clean the floor with a 4 GHz p2x6. This is not even debatable. Not to mention, you can still overclock the 980X 4 to 4.5GHz and are decimated x6 AMD hopes will come out on top. If not, Intel would not be able to get away with selling more than $ 1,000. Six cores from AMD are not even on the radar of Intel as a threat. If it were, there would be a price war, and never has been. As someone has said, if there are any components that already, just wait and see what makes bulldozer. If you leave the door swing and landing blows at Intel, wait until the price war for the issue and enjoy any building. If you leave late and still no SB platform then look in the SB. My guess is that will come somewhere between the X58 and P67 level of performance and incredible prices I've always had AMD may well be better to go with AMD. We just have to wait and see.

Besides the fact that the 2600K simply better performance, you should be aware that this is a core 4. Some programs and games do not really use more than 2 cores anyway. So given that the 2600K is less nuclei and more powerful than the six major [i.e. each individual core is faster than the AMD], the money would be better. And more! Intel hyperthreading for programs that support it. Yes 2600K 4 cores hyperthreaded programs will only become a core of 8 [April 4 virtual physics]. The six cores AMD simply have no chance. Actually it is not even worth spending the money.
