AMD has come up with high-end Athlon 64 X2 6000 + which is truly amazing. It provides an operating frequency which is rarely achieved on the Athlon 64 and almost all the mythical counter with 3 GHz. It has a simple increment in frequency, with a new revision of its core, the Athlon 64 X2 6000 + has the ability to stand up to its elite of the Core 2 Duo from Intel. You really have to hook this processor to experience the thrill of gaming.

AMD affirmed the objective of contributing their Athlon 64 FX as its highest clocked desktop part. Even though Quad FX did not deliver a matching speed improvement, now AMD has come up with dual core which offers good performance of up to 3.0 GHz. The Athlon 64 X2 6000+ has more enhanced features as compared to the Athlon 64 FX-62, trying to increase core speeds with a range of 200MHz to 3.0GHz. I have heard that it supports the platforms of AM2 and dual-channel DDR2.

The Athlon 64 X2 6000+ provides support for features like HyperTransport, then the AMD64, enhanced virus Protection. It even supports the technology of AMD virtualization, and if we pay good attention it seems that the physical specifications are like FX. It even has a core voltage of 1.35v-1.4v, has 125W of thermal power rating, with a 90.4 A of processor current, along with 227.4 million of transistor count. The Athlon 64 X2 6000+ this version offers specifications of power saving.

    Re: Athlon X2 6000+ vs. X2 7750

I have heard that Black Edition of AMD Athlon X2 7750 is clocked at speed of 2.70giga hertz including the unlocked multiplier. AMD Athlon X2 7750 provides an L2 Cache with 2 x 512 mb and even the 2 mb shared from L3 Cache. And it is a fact that the latest versions of Athlon X2 are running on a 3.0 bus, with a hyper transport speed of 1800MHz which has the ability to offer 3600MTs or 7200MBs. This processor is powered with the maximum TDP of 95 watts. Here TDP means the thermal design power.

The AMD Athlon X2 7750 is a dual-core processor and has a clock frequency of 2.7GHz. This AMD Athlon X2 7750 is a black edition and it provides you with the ability to improve the overclocking. By default it is set to 200MHz x 13.5, but by using the unlocked multiplier you can change the clock frequency. It includes two times 512 mb of L2 Cache along with 2 mb shared from L3 Cache. This feature is a good advancement from the older versions of Athlon X2.

AMD releases the Dual-core “Phenom “ that is a 7000 series processor of Athlon X2. As we all know that now a day’s multi-core gaming is gaining more attention. AMD has come up with its “Kuma” core which is depended on the process of 65nm Silicon on Insulator. But like the Phenoms even it is K10 cored. But as far as I know the present “Phenoms” require a good thermal overhead and clock speed. And I have to admit that its performance is quite appreciated in the environment of multi-threading system.
