Upgrading the e8400 Overclocking at 4gz worth it?

Hey I am using windows 7 operating system based computer .I play game as well as observe that lots of titles beginning to utilize quad core. Is it worth it to go by means of the Q9650 "oc'd to 4gz" accurse or will I not observe much development. I have previously upgraded my graphics to a gtx 570 so this will be it for little more years. So please tell me some advice about my issue so that I can make my mind.

4.0 GHz you have a CPU that hold its own, if you go for a Q9650 there is no assurance that it will arrive at 4GHz as well as they are still a small pricey. Using large sums of cash on old tech is not suggested. You be supposed to just go Phenom II X6 or X4 with a DDR2, or obtain an inexpensive Sandy Bridge quad and motherboard while they appear if you have DDR3. Saves you the additional dosh from maintaining your RAM. Do not bother with the Q9650, it is also costly for the gaming performance it brings. Simply upgrade if you think that games are running slow.

I have thinking the similar thing regarding my e8400 @4 ghz. It has been great for gaming however I have now chosen up an I7 940 on the inexpensive reason I utilize video as well as graphic representing so the 2 more cores will strike the spot. Games utilizing 4 core will get a while for it to be the norm IMO. May this information will help you please inform me about your solution if you got answer to your problem

In my opinion I utilize an E8500 at 3.8GHz at job as well as a Q9400 at 3.4GHz at home. in general the Q9400 is more receptive. There appear to be plenty of times that I notice slowdowns while utilizing the dual core system. I not at all detect slowdowns by means of the quad core machine. I do not believe that is worth the upgrade except you locate the quad core chip for a little price.

I have built a number of i5 systems as well as overclocked them. There is a small advantage to them over the core2 quad systems, however surely not worth the upgrade price for you at this instance. I am unsuccessful to observe what benefits there will be to the upcoming sandinyourtoes machines, apart from more proceeds for Intel. It appears that for most of us we won't be capable to overclock them so we will be observing lower performance.
