Intel(R) Server Board SE7525RP2, will it support the new Ram?

    HI Friends,

I'm new to this forum, but I know I can get a solution for my problem here.

I have a server, With Xeon Processor, Mother Board - Intel(R) Server Board SE7525RP2,

    Ram:- 2GB (2 X1GB) DDR2 ECC REG 533 Ram.

I need to upgrade my ram to 8 GB now, I found these Ram In Ebay will that suit my machine configuration? or should I search for a Ram with similar speed?

    8GB (2X4GB) DDR2 MEMORY RAM PC2-5300 ECC REG DIMM

    WINTEC 8GB (2X4GB) DDR2 ECC Reg 667 Server RAM PC2 5300.

If the above Ram supports my machine, Can I still use my Other 2GB Ram along with this.

    Like 2 X 4GB & 2 X 1GB.

Please help me out in this issue...

    Raj..

Yes you can use the RAM in you new Mobo. This will support the same. Moving on to your second question , If the Mobo is having the extra slot to fit the other RAM also then you can run both the RAM Stick with the same Mobo. Also if you are having more doubt regarding your issue then it is better to ask the Intel re3garding the same.
