What you mean exactly when you say that you are looking forward to repair a Northbridge , if you are trying to cool it then you can opt to overclock it, if you are trying to over clock it I do not think that 40 Degree Celcius will work when you are having a Gigabyte Motherboard that has a video card in it, as far as I know cooling a Northbridge is much simpler than the processor and the graphic card , you just need adequate airflow that’s it, and your work is done.
