    Intel G31 vs G41 motherboard

I am in a process of getting a new motherboard. And I have selected Intel for the same. I can find two common boards that fit my requirement. Among which one is G31 and the other one is G41. I cannot find any comparison for the same on the official site. I want to find what is the exact difference and which board will be well enough for daily usage. It does not look both boards are much different but cost wise they are separate. And both are having the same socket. Which board among this two can help me to build a decent pc for daily usage.

G41 is a new version and this will be a better option compare to G31. Both of this comes with graphics. G41 has as bit higher one where you get more hd quality. The logic is simple here. A modern board means better integrated graphics. That is the reason I will recommend you to go for G41. I am not really sure you can get any low cost boards like this with good input range.

Re: Intel G31 vs G41 motherboard

If you are convinced to buy the E8400 processor, then don't go for the G31/G41 motherboard as then you'll be severely fsb limited. E5200/E5300 on the other hand with its 12.5x multiplier is a lethal combo (12.5x320=4GHz), since they attain the max typical fsbs, G31 has low ability to handle the same. For E8400, do not go for a board that is lower than P35. And however this is going to be costly. If you want to go with budget then you have to stick with AMD processor that would offer a better solution at cheap price.
