I think you should have checked it before the order. It might be possible that the RAM no more supports i5 760 processor. But there is a small chance for you. Check the RAM support on motherboard. Does it support DDR3 1600? As far as the mainboard supports this RAM there will be no issue, you will be fine. The Intel core i5 760 processor will accept the 1600MHz DDR3 memory. |

| Re: Does Intel core I5 760 compatible with DDR3/1600 RAM
When I searched into the Google I found that the core i5 760 as well as 750 only supports DDR3/1333. It will not support DD3-1600. Some of the CPU-z test results say that, the Core i5-760 can barely support DDR3-1067 and DDR3-1333 except you augment the base clock rate. The Core i7 series moreover supports DDR3-1600. In order to increase base clock rate you have to familiar with the overclocking process. Amplify the clock speed over its default and see what you may get. |

Ever since the Intel Socket LGA1156 memory controller does not authoritatively hold up DDR3-1600 RAM, you no longer able to use it unless you set the speed by tour self. Before doing any manual configuration check the list of the BIOS for a present of XMP-1600 memory profile. If you didn’t see such kind of profile you need to update or download the latest version of BIOS for your motherboard. You may hope that this latest version may include the profile what you are seeking for. If you are capable to find memory profile then you can manually increase the default speed to 1600MHz. |

| Re: Does Intel core I5 760 compatible with DDR3/1600 RAM
To make the DDR3/1600 work with core i5 760 or 750 manual settings are necessary ever since the utmost default is DDR3-1333 CL9. You need to perform overclocking in view of the fact that the core i5 CPU only comprise a maximum memory multiplier of 10X. 133 x 10 is merely DDR3-1333. The BCLK value must be set to 160 so that it can allow together the CPU and RAM overclocked appropriately. I have ASUS motherboard and it will set the values automatically. So under AI Overclock Tuner you need to set XMP profile. |

I think it is possible to run 1600HZ RAM as long as your motherboard supports DDR3. You need to work on some BIOS setting to make it functioning. First of all Enable the XMP profile in BIOS and there set the speed of memory as 1600. I think that the default value could be 1333. Once I tried the same thing and the memory has been running in stable form. So I hope that you will also get the same. |
