Confused between Intel E4300 or E3400

I was searching for the processors for my desktop system and I have got one place where they were selling Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 for just $55 which also includes fan + free shipping. I have heard that this processor if great for overclocking as many users were posting good reviews about the same. But on the other hand I have got the brand new Intel Celeron Dual Core E3400 which has price tag of $68. There is not much difference between the price of both of these processors. Now I have got confused that which I should buy. Can you guys reveal some pros and cons of both the processors so that I can decide which to buy for my desktop.

Like any product based on a successful new architecture, unmatched in performance and especially recognized as such by the press and the public, the Core 2 Duo have been very popular despite their high initial price positioning and the lack of decline in prices. Performance, low power and having a propensity for overclocking, the Core 2 Duo have so far only flaw as a ticket a little high, the supply of Intel based on the remnants of the Netburst architecture, which despite their dramatic price cuts are still less interesting than the Athlon 64 X2.

For a $55 E4300 processor, the feat is significant. It sits right in front of the Q6700 and X6800, the beautiful people in all. Also note the first six places occupied by the latest Intel processors before the FX-62 come to remember our good memories. At its original frequency, the E4300 at $ 163 is between an Athlon 64 4600 + and 4400 + sold 224 and $ 240 respectively. The die is cast ... The Pentium D (133 dollars) for its part is located between a 4000 + and 4200 + priced at $173 and $ 187 respectively. Even the old guard gives Intel a hard time with the latest AMD processors. Once overclocked to 4.27 GHz, Pentium D makes contact with the FX-62. Given the ease with which it overclock, needless to say it's a processor of choice for an upgrade if your motherboard does not support Core 2 Duo.

Very cheap processors like the Celeron, 54 dollars in the Intel price list, are positioning themselves very quickly at the top of the hierarchy. But do not forget the position of the Celeron is at the bottom of the rankings. If the E4300 is very interesting because at its cons original frequency, it is well ahead in the standings the Athlon 64 X2 3800 +. The latter is the cheapest Athlon 64 X2 from our panel but well behind in terms of performance since it is 13% less swift than the E4300. Above we said that the E4300 was between the X2 4600 + and 4400 +.

If you want to buy a processor for overclocking then I would be suggesting you to buy an Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 as this processor is the best one for overclockers. As without overclocking these both the processor, they won't show you much difference between the performance. When I compare the both of these processors and If I would be at your place then I would have bought an E4300 as it is the best one to buy and you are even getting the same with cheap price.
