KVR400X64C3A 2 GB SDRAM not working on Intel D865GLC motherboard

I was running 1G of RAM by means of Kingston KVR400X64C3AK2/1G equipment with no problem. I required to improve the RAM so I purchased a KVR400X64C3AK2/2G equipment which is invented to run on the D865GLC board. For anything motive, the system will not position by means of this fresh RAM. If I position the original 1G equipment in, it works very well. If I insert the 2G equipment in as well, it demonstrates the video card message and once more will not position. I have placed the BIOS to utilize auto settings designed for the memory, and I have attempt physically entering the setting but to no advantage. Hopefully someone can assist me out with this one. I think you are getting the issues because your motherboard just recognizes the RAM but I think it is unable to work with the Ram as your Ram is runs too fast then the motherboard it runs to 266 your memory so it is logical that you should use everything has the same speed I think. Or my motherboard chains 400MHz but my DIMMs slots need a 400MHz FSB of 800MHz. my Motherboard contain a 400MHz FSB just so as you supposed in your post example it throttle the RAM. It is regarding the similar unintelligent compatibility trouble as of Intel memory PC3200 then it cannot utilize them entirely! Lastly, eventually I obtain to know something fresh.

So I think your problem is solved as you have taken some buffalo memory form a new server - exact identical specs as the Kingston and it works very well in the D865GLC motherboard. You set the Kingston anywhere the Buffalo was and that server booted up very well by means of it. Not certain what the problem is by means of the memory or motherboard combo. At least now you will find it working.
