Intel e8400 vs Intel q6600

The comparison between a quad and the new 65nm Penryn dual core will seem weird but now this is my doubt. I am looking forward to now make my new PC and wanted your opinion. I think that Intel Q6600 will be a better choice with Asus and 1066 with a nice HD WD Raptor! count me with my setup now so I can not complain. I too am about to do an upgrade from Athlon XP Core architecture and are reading this topic more and more confused. I am torn between the E8400 and the Q6600 ... Taking into account the use of my PC (no games and search for max performance in DivX conversion, programs Graphics / Rendering etc.). What do you recommend. Better than the 3 or 4 Ghz Core.
