    Asrock P43Twins1600 Motherboard help

I am just planning to get an Asrock P43Twins1600. I am going to use my computer mostly for games, listening songs and browsing Internet. I try to search on Internet about this board but I id not get any valuable information. I familiar with it that it does DDR2 and 3 as well as an FSB of 1600 and uses the P43 chipset. I was now surprise if it overclocks and if so how fine. Anyone knows anything about this board please let me know?

    Re: Motherboard:P43Twins1600

I have updated to the most up-to-date bios i.e., 1.40 from the ASRock website however it doesn't appear to matter what I’ve attempted enabling as well as disabling on the cpu configuration page I can't get over 300FSB which is to a great extent not as good as then my previous gigabyte P965 board which go to 423 FSB. Any instructions intended for the settings on the cpu configuration page would be a great help. I'm in no doubt it's likely to get a pretty good overclock by means of this board.

    Re: Asrock P43Twins1600 Motherboard help

I as well have the 1600twins board although by means of the e8400 and DDR3 at 1333. I switched the jumpers on the way to force 1600 in addition to it made the cpu 3.6 vs stock 3.0ghz. I am surprise if I be supposed to be setting jumpers to 1333 and over clock in the bios or else if I am doing things correct. I have had two reboots at the same time as running 3dmark06 along with I am in relation to put the jumpers back to default and observe if that help. Furthermore my ram is 9-9-9-26 is that excessively much Latency? Final issue would be do I set whichever of the voltages higher? I keep in mind understanding anywhere so as to someone had set this ram to 1.7v however not sure what they meant etc. sorry I am new to it and I have not done overclocking before any suggestion would be appreciated.

I have read on some forum about P43 Twins 1600 overclock and done the setting as specified in that forum.Presently I use the Board in the company of a core 2 Duo 6400 CPU and DDR2 800 OZC Ram.I have over clocked, at the instant, the cpu to 2.9 Ghz. from 2.1 Ghz with standard fsb core 2 duo 6400.I have set the overclock jumper on the board to the succeeding location. My settings are mentioned below:
    Vcore :1.3875 V
    Dram Voltage : 2.02 V
The CPU FSB is 366 Mhz
    All other settings are Standard.

    Re: Asrock P43Twins1600 Motherboard help

I have tried the setting posted above but the Problem is that I cannot overclock the CPU FSB to 400 MHz. This is my aim! I do not desire for higher. The computer boots heavy, othos send mistakes.I just want to know with which settings, can overclock the Cpu to 400 Mhz?My furthermost goal on the other hand is a stable run as well as a long life for the Cpu and the board. As soon as I set, for instance, the PLL Voltage and the other Voltages in this area, of far above the ground. Will this has any effect on the Mainboard?I expect anybody can assist me to set the fsb stable to 400 mhz.
