    RAM DDR2 1066Mhz only stable at 800Mhz!!

Yes I know the topic is determined, it has often enough and I'm also for days on forums and in the Goggle search brought, but I hope this place finally be able to find my "peace". My Kingston Hyper X 1066 2GB 2 * (KHX8500D2K2/4G) running on my Gigabyte GA-MA790FX-DS5 MB and NEM Phenom X4 940 killed die net stable (blue screen )...! At 800Mhz it goes ... I have done the following things so far :
    • Manually on 533Mhz RAM (1066) found
    • RAM voltage to 2.2 V
    • 5-5-5-15 set
    • Vcore manually
    • Memtest86 Test's are pending (the heavens)
    • BIOS update

Nothing has worked for me... And could someone please explain to me how that behaves with the FSB (CPU) and RAM, and how they adjusted in harmony (in my particular case)? I have the DDR2 1066 RAM many their net to read 1066 to get running and it is only recognized as 800Mhz ... Any help would be grateful.

That's stuff is junk ... live with 800 "MHz", or return and buy a decent memory. By the way, the performance difference between 1066 MHz and 800 MHz is so small that you'll not always notice the difference. The default FSB is 200 Only if you have that and the memory is clocked so as you adjust it. If you let the FSB to 220, for example, then the RAM is also 10% faster (ie instead of 1066 as set by 1172), as then runs the HT (internal bus of the CPU) and the NL-frequency (chipset) faster. So you have to put down then the RAM (eg 800, then he is actually running at 880) and the HT 2000 (10X) to 1800 (9x), so actually 1980, so that it remains below the 2000th In addition, you must also have the NB-frequency (chipset) put down (180 instead of 200) in order to remain within your specifications. Maybe it's not the memory that you make the system unstable.

Gigabyte has a problem with the 790FX chip RAM 1066 and there is the problem-780/785g chip, officially supports Gigabyte 790FX chip with only 4x1GB at 1066, everything else is clocked at 800Mhz down. However, I was able to persuade so many 790 chip still on 1066 with 2 benches to run. Try using the rear two seats instead of the 2 times front RAM to 2.2V. If this is also not working, then I would suggest you to check some another RAM.

I would say if it supports up to 16GB to 800 also supports a 1066. The memory controller is not on the motherboard, the processor, so if the processor supports it and the motherboard has sockets etc ... well ... What is clear is that more mhz more speed, so the drop down to 1066MHz. And your motherboard supports 16gb of ram and overclocked to 1200MHz. A good setup for OC is the maximum speed being 100% stable and that the temperature does not exceed the safe limit (voltage is not very high), that is, you find that configuration you, because each processor and motherboard are different (not to mention the refrigerator).
