    BIOS settings for Intel Atom processor

    I am recently looking for the Intel Atom processor. I have heard that the settings to be done is quite difficult. Also I am very interested in overclocking (even tough I know less ) I want to know whether I can increase the bus speed? Provide me some conditions that can be useful while doing that.!! More importantly I want to know the BIOS settings for Intel Atom processor. Any other information related to the topic would be really helpful.

    The BIOS of the ECS 945GCT-D is more extensive in its settings, as one would expect from such a small circuit board. In addition to typical options such as turning off unneeded components such as the elderly COM port via Boot Sequence to power management is also a hardware monitor, a manual adjustment of the main RAM timings and even an option to overclock the system. The bus speed can be increased from 133 MHz up to 500 MHz. But even a slight increase to 166 MHz, the need for a CMOS reset moved to, since the system was thus unable to boot.

    Miss allowed the BIOS to control fan. Even if a nettop, hardly needs an advanced cooling, so it's more comfortable to the BIOS on fans can vote to place the fans vote on the acquisition on a BIOS. Since the motherboard will be only offered in a ready nettop, the vote of the fans remains on the system in this case anyway up to the system integrator.     Both integrated graphics processors, we with the Sparkle GeForce 8500 GT with a dedicated graphics card, which is to be described architecturally well as modern, if not for a stale PCI interface on the map to find on that is to communicate the graphics accelerator with the system. Long ago, PCI video card is standard - there are now exotic, although still able to find their benefits.     The graphics chip, the GeForce 8500 GT is the G86, reduced to just one shader cluster G80. The number of transistors in the G86 is only about 210 million, during the eight shader heavy cluster G80 comes to around 681 million. The reduced number of transistors and moderate frequencies of 450 MHz chip, 900 MHz shader and 400 MHz memory clock GeForce 8500 GT despite making a relatively old production in 80 nm feature size to an economical video card.     But the DVI output of the card is an argument for itself, but has not every motherboard with integrated graphics, such an output, but is troubling the user with mostly pale and grainy images of the VGA connector.     Since the G86 is a graphics chip with a PCI Express interface, the Sparkle 8500 GT with a bridge chip on the back to convert the signals into the PCI standard. The bridge chip is from the California manufacturer Pericom made and as a so-called PCI-to-PCI Reversible Bridge designated. So a chip that converts signals in both PCIe PCI signals, and ruled the opposite way.     The primary objective of the Intel Atom, it is certainly not to claim any cost, performance crown for itself. Rather, it is in this class in manufacturing costs and energy consumption. However, one must ask at least may, if the atom is still fast enough. The Atom is designed to play content, but not to edit or create content at all. Accordingly, we limit ourselves to the performance measurements on several representative benchmarks that are sufficient to be able to classify and evaluate its performance. Not to be wrong, some readers may have wondered whether AMD would not indulge in this class to a duel, but it leaves current Intel and VIA that market.
