    How to Overclocking i7 processor

    Hello,
I start my first steps in overclocking i7. I think I understood the concept wholesale . my config is as follows:
    Core I7 920
    Gigabyte EX58-UD5
    G. Skill PC3-10666 CL9
    Gainward GTX 275 GS
    Cooler Master Real Power m850watt

I get to reach 3ghz with a vcore of 1.1v in the bios and everything is stable. I then increase the vcore to 1.15, block port PCI Express on the 100mhz vram to 1.5 and reduce the multiplier to 8 ram. I could go to 3.2GHz without any problem, the pc was stable after a test of Prime95. The only problem I noticed is that gta 4 train when I run for example, or when I'm driving. One thing that does not support 2.6GHz which is weird. I do not know what else to change, I change the BCLK, the ratio of memory, and the vcore.

Even I do have a same problem, I lowered the vcore to 1.1 and arrive reach 3ghz. I do not know if it's stable but I did a test of Prime95 for hours and no problems. There GTA4 walk nickel without rowing. But once 3.2GHz AC oar serious and I do not know why. What I do is that I change the BCLK passing it to 160MHz, I turn off the TurboBooster and I lower the memory multiplier to 8.

I want to climb to 3.4. Apparently it's easy. Here I am at 3ghz stable with a vcore to 1.1 or lower than the original. The problem is that when I go to my pc 3ghz is stable but when I tested on gta4 it starts rowing serious thing that is weird. Even if I increase my vcore its not working.

Then you settled the timings your ram? What you as a ram? you changed the ratio? I am a 1.17vcore and I am a 166 * 20 Or 3 = 3300mhz, 33ghz with my ram ratio to get the car in good operating frequency of my ram. I chose the timing depending on the manufacturer and I had a blocked their voltage, 55 test some ram not work at 1.55 they must compulsorily 1.65 for ram if it's not bench with OCCT told us if it crashes or if you have mistakes, but you need to 3.4GHz it usually 1.24 v core if I remember correctly after you leave the rest in the car as I see you are a novice.

While I put the vcore is low but it works. Suddenly it makes me a 3ghz frequency with temperatures not exceeding 64 ° for cores. I am not a novice at overclocking but rather a novice in regards ls core i7. I tried to disable the turbo boost, the energy saving options in bios to set the vcore to 1.25 but it does not solve the problem of quick freeze in gta4. I said that to keep the original frequency of my ram with voltage of 1.5 volts origin ie. When I increase the I reduced the ratio of ram for my does not exceed 1333MHz.
