DDR2 Memory ram support enough for Windows 7

Here 2 GB recommended practice is to fully take advantage of Windows Vista as Windows 7 and are often a significant amount with many recent heavy applications, even under Windows XP. I want to upgrade DDR2 ram in my system and I need some help for choosing and understanding the working of DDR2 RAM. I need some recommendation for the same.

A distinction is generally two broad categories of memory. The first is the dynamic memory which is called as DRAM, Dynamic Random Access Module. This are the best value. They are for the central storage of the computer used primarily. The other one is SDRAM, Static Random Access Module which to fast and expensive. The SDRAM particularly to the cache memory of the processor used. You can use CPUz for testing the same.

The main memory is hundreds of thousands of small capacitors, the charges from store. If he is charged, corresponds in logic state of the capacitor 1, in the opposite case it is equal to 0, which means that each capacitor a bit of memory is. Each capacitor is a transistor coupled to (type MOS), the state of the capacitor restored or are amended to the with.

Re: DDR2 Memory ram support enough for Windows 7

For a DRAM memory types, corresponding to the access time is 60 nanoseconds (35ns cycle time and 25 NS latency). On a computer meets the cycle time to the contrary, the clock frequency, e.g. for a computer is 200 MHz clocked with, corresponds to the cycle duration 5 NS. Accordingly, the computer must have a high frequency of working memory and used their access time is longer than the cycle time of the processor for the memory to access it.

Re: DDR2 Memory ram support enough for Windows 7

The company OCZ , famous producer of high-speed memory, today released DDR-II modules with low timings. We will use the memory of OCZ PC2-5400 Titanium, which has 4-2-2-8 timings, which will test at 533 and 400 MHz. For an ideal comparison of memory performance requires a single test platform, which will change only ourselves memory modules. There are several software for testing the same.

Ensure the identity of the test processor, power supply and video card is very simple. What was harder to find the motherboard with simultaneous support of DDR2 and DDR3. Ultimately, he was unsuccessful and we stopped at two motherboards the same manufacturer. Some board are based on same chipset but the price differs there. There are many software you can use the same to test your hardware.

Re: DDR2 Memory ram support enough for Windows 7

At the nominal frequency DDR3-1066 modules work timings are 7-7-7-20-27-1T, and after increasing the frequency to DDR3-1333 card exhibits timings have equal 9-9-9-25-34-1T. As a rule, spelled out in the SPD timings for the different modules may vary. But if you compare the cost of overclocking modules, here the situation is not so joyous for fans of DDR3. In addition, overclocking DDR2 modules have already collected an impressive statistic, which is not the same modules are DDR3.
