    Two phenom II x6 1055T models: 125w and 95w

I have observed few specification and it seems that there are entirely two different 1055T models. You can rate the HDT55TFBGRBOX for the clear 125w and in comparisons the other thing HDT55TWFGRBOX is only getting 95 w. What more the other dissimilarities between the other two leaving the TDP. It is surprising that the at the higher wattage the thing is running cooler if compared to running at the lower wattage. I have no idea why this is going against the law of thermodynamics. That the thing from my point and the thing I need is the comparison between these two. Any information related to two phenomII x6 1055T models: 125w and 95w will be appreciated.

The amount of low voltage provided for the high temperature with the similar kind of stability and not with 95 W and it really running hotter but seems to be more tolerable to heat. You can just hope that the HDT55TWFGRBOX is going to be launched very soon. But I cannot confirm this thing, and about the comparison thing. HDT55TFBK6DGR open tray operates at 1.125-1.40V and HDT55TWFK6DGR open tray operates at 1.075-1.375 v. The maximum temperature is 62 C and 71 C and as you know wattage is around 125 W and for the next one is around 95 W. Leaving these thing almost everything is similar.

As you are saying that almost everything is similar then there should be low amount of leakage on the lower wattage that is making it run hotter even if you are providing the lower amount of power. As far as I know lower leakage parts will not clock at higher frequency. It will be good thing to see that if there is difference or providing the same thing with the different name.

I think that is the lower frequency and not the voltage. The 95 watt TDP version has the lower nominal voltage. There are many processors available that provide the normal voltage through the range values and not the fixed one, hence this one can continuously have the low values compare to 125W TDP. I think this will explain why it is getting lower TDP since this is utilizing less amount of power.

This can be justified if you are having the latest revision, but this thing is a bit improbable. A similar example like this is Toledo JH-E6 versions of the A64X2 4400+, ADA4400DAA6CD for around 110W TDP and the other one is ADV4400DAA6CD for 89W TDP. Now I cannot recollect what is the exact difference between these two things but they are same on paper and in practical there is a difference in TDP.

Well I think that any of them cannot be so much high. My 1090T is 1.3 V at the stock and I am seeing there are others who have 1.325v. One more thing if you can explain me how you are checking the lower frequency. According to they should be at 2.8 GHz. I can believe that 1090T's lowered to 1055 clocks and then also using the lower voltage, but the other thing you have said are doubtful.

It is true that the people are just binning over time, the 125 W should be phased out entirely. If you are judging from the excellent yields AMD is now getting with the Thuban, and it will done very soon. Getting the same 125 W TDP brackets by fitting the two extra cores and only loosing 200 Mhz is really wonderful. The complete process node will definitely shrink for this kind of matter.
