Exclamation Frequent Re-starts @ the time of booting

My system re-starts everytime switch it on. It even re-starts a couple of times even when I give the restart from the OS.

First of all it takes a while for it to power on. Then before RAm/HDD gets detected it restarts. Again it restarts during and after POST. While the OS gets loaded it sometimes restarts again.

Once the system is up and running it works pretty fine.

@ the time of POST the screen sometimes freezes and then gets re-started.

    1. Is this a problem with the power supply? Sys. config given below. Its a 1 month old PC.

    2. My RAM is supposed to be 1333.3 Mhz clock speed. I tried several utilities and all of them show only 666 MHz. Any clues?

Have you first disabled the settings for automatically restart. For that just right click on my computer and then click on properties. Now go to Advance and then click on Startup and Recovery. Once done with that in the box you can see a Automatically restart option. Remove the tick from that. Then check back again. If you does not have any major hardware issue then this settings will work.

    Thanks for the reply.....

A thought though - If 'Automatically Restart' is checked then after loading Windows if any system failure happens the system will restart.
But what about restarting @ the time of BIOS test/POST? The screen also freezes sometimes @ that moment before it restarts?
I believe Windows has got nothing to do with all these.....
I suspect power/motherboard issues? With this motherboard do I need to use a 650W power supply?

    Thanks again.

That type of problem occurs because of RAM problem. so i suggest you to check your RAM in other PC. and install any other RAM i this pc and check the problem is solved or not.
