Help Intel x25m installation

The Intel X25-M was on paper, Intel was in fact able to offer a 80GB model to 500 $ , while maintaining performance maddening at the time with speeds of 250 Mb / s read and , more modestly , 70 MB / s write . Can anybody know the installation process of Intel x25m. Please suggest. Thanks in advance.

In my opinion no need to format it in advance for the time it takes to install the seven and in addition there are the stories of alignments which I understand nothing but make me say it is better to let windows 7 format and create partitions itself.
