Need upgrade for AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3000

I am using AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3000, AMD and Intel put an end to the first race GHz. The focus shifts now to the versatility ... But for many users, this new technology remains unclear, especially since according to the application, the gain goes from zero to nearly 100%! Therefore, it is clear that dual-core processor is the ultimate weapon in any way that comes more quickly to end all applications. So i need upgrade for AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3000. Please suggest. Thanks in advance.

AMD has never been able to offer a competitive solution to HyperThreading. The reason is simple, the performance of Athlon XP is too high and none of its units are turned thumbs! AMD has chosen a different path by integrating the memory controller in the Athlon and thus gave birth to the Athlon 64. While Intel is forced to continually raise the frequency of its Pentium to increase performance, AMD still optimizes performance. So, the Athlon 64 are now showing modest frequencies near the Pentium 4 that during the flight of their frequency have seen their returns fall. So you need to choose Intel i7 processor.

The complexity of lines, we will not review the various developments intermediate Athlon 64 and Pentium 4 because they are no longer sold or are no longer of interest. It's the same for the media. Today, AMD is setting the Socket 939 and Intel based its offer on the LGA775. On the functional side, AMD and Intel are now at the same level provided to adhere to the latest revisions of the Pentium and Athlon. In the case of single core processors, it is the Pentium 4 "6xx series and Athlon 64 . For dual core, it is the Athlon 64 X2 and the Pentium D.

Your motherboard is Socket A, the only possible solution is to upgrade the processor ultimate (and therefore expensive despite its age): the AMD Athlon XP 3200 +. attention to the sites used, verify that it is right processor for Socket A (also called 432) and not for socket 754 or 939.

You need to upgrade to Double Heart-processor AMD Athlon 64 X2 that offers your computer the power of technology double heart. The dual-heart contain two processing cores that reside on the same chip and perform calculations on two streams, thus increasing the speed and efficiency while being able to run multiple programs and support software Multithreaded new generation.

CPU Mark 99 and Super Pi tests are quite old but have the advantage of allowing a comparison with much older tests. As evidenced by the results at equal frequency, these tests do not exploit hyperthreading or Dual Core. In the case of Athlon 64 and Athlon 64 X2, the presence of a 1MB L2 cache (per core) provides very important additional performance close to 10% ... But do not generalize! Since they have 1MB of cache and a relatively slow yet lengthened pipeline, the Pentium 4 has become very slow at the CPU Mark 99. By cons, Super Pi still benefits from a large L2 cache even if not especially quick. As a reminder, the Pentium 3.0C GHz CPU index shows a Mark 99 ~ 200 ~ 45 seconds and calls for Super Pi.

Appearing there are now more than 18 months, the Athlon 64 is now the workhorse of AMD. Exit thus the Athlon XP, which now end their careers as the Sempron, at least Socket 462. The Athlon 64 is currently in socket 754 and 939, the difference being in the management of memory carried out in dual channel for the last city. Increasingly People, thanks to the emergence of the chipset nForce supporting PCI-Express and also thanks to its excellent resistance games .
