    Evga 680i SLI and Core2Quad Q9550

I am having an issue which i need to solve with your help. Currently my computer is having the Q9550 on an Evga 680i SLI T1, P33 BIOS. I have set the BIOS to the speed of the 2.8Ghz. Also the core of this board is enabled. I just wanted to know know that is there any BIOS mod to unlock the 9x multiplier. If possible then reply proper to Evga 680i SLI and Core2Quad Q9550 post. Thank you.

As per my knowledge the board is not having the 9X multiplier. The Board which you are using is having the issue with the 9x multiplier as it can only support till 8.5. Because if you wish to go beyond this then your CPU must be 9650 OC. So i don't think that your plan is not enough for the same so go with the low multiplier.

Thanks for your quick response that you have given me regarding the Evga 680i SLI and Core2Quad Q9550 issue and suggestion of yours is appreciated. But having one more query that i think can be solved with your help. The issue is related to the Left 4 Dead game which i am playing after the overclocking performed on my board. The game is sensitive to the overclocking.

Yes that is true as your board is not supporting the same. In that case i will advise you upgrade the same as the present one is not capable of running the same. So as long as you will stick to the same you will face this kind of the issue. So it is better to buy a new one for your system that will compatible with the present one.
