Which one should I get? Core I3 530 or Core2Duo E7400

I am thinking of getting either one of these two systems:

Intel Core I3 530 CPU
Asus P7H55-M-Pro Motherboard
4GB DDR3 Ram

Or

Intel Core2Duo E7400
Asus P5KPL-AM Micro-ATX PCI-Express Motherboard
4GB DDR2 RAM

Which one should I get? The i3 package costs about $100 more.

Intel Core2 Duo Processor E7400 has 3M Cache and operating frequency is 2.80 GHz with 1066 MHz FSB while Intel Core i3-530 Processor has 4M Cache and operating frequency 2.93 GHz. Therefore I would suggest you to buy Intel core i3 processor which is better than Intel core2 Duo processor E7400. Core i3 processor has 4mb cache memory which makes it faster that Core2duo E7400 which has 3mb cache memory. My vote goes to Intel core i3-530 processor.
