    Intel 131 and AMD Comparison

Hi, i have a very short query here and hope you guys can help me out. I am about to assemble a new pc and have an option between Intel 131 and AMD processors. Some of my friends are suggesting me to go with Intel 131 and some with AMD. Could you guys please show me some comparison between Intel 131 and AMD ? Also suggest me the best. Thanks..

Re: Intel 131 and AMD Comparison

Since launching its first dual-core processor, the Pentium Extreme Edition 840 in April 2005, Intel was able to increase performance of its solutions by a factor of 4.4 with the Core i7-975 which came a little over 4 years later. AMD side is more complicated, since between an Athlon 64 X2 4800 + and Phenom X4 II 965, the performance is multiplied by 2.5: this was an advance is converted into a delay.

What was once the very high end, namely the Pentium EE 840 and 965, are now completely at the picks as the Celeron E1500 and E3200 are better. The Core 2 X6800, top the top in 2006, is now caught by a Pentium E6500. AMD side we can also see that the Athlon 64 X2 6400 + is now frown face a "simple" Athlon X2 II 240, while the Phenom X4 9950 is exceeded by an Athlon X4 II 620 sold less than 100 €!

The news coverage rarely gives us the opportunity to return to old products, so that comparisons between the latest products and there's people out there few years were difficult. The rendering software Maxon is famous among the community of overclockers using Cinebench, which allows to easily compare the performance of processors. However, the version used Cinebench R10 rendering engine Cinema 4D, whereas the version R11 double performance. With the scene in Cinebench R10 made in a higher resolution to extend the rendering time.

It is interesting that the configuration Pentium EE 840 consumes over roughly the same as a Core i7-975, for performances that have been multiplied by a ratio of 4.4! It also notes the efforts of AMD and Intel at the level of consumption at rest, since the sad level achieved with the Pentium EE 965 and its 172 watts (as far as the configuration-based Q8200 support!) Is advantage of a distant memory in contrast with a configuration LGA1156 is the most economical of all. The graphics for the platforms Socket 775 and Socket AM2/AM3, the results are not comparable from one platform to another since different architectures, as on the AM2 and AM3 integrated memory controller processor is fed through it while it is not the case at Intel.
