And i thinking to either buy DELL with P8600 or Sony Vaio with T6600 . I don't know their specification and which will be better one for me, this choices was given by one of my business friend. There is huge difference between T6600 and P8600. The differences between them goes like this the L2 cache on P8600 is lager then T6600 and the P8600 has less power consumption then T6600. The 3Mb L3 on the P8600 is also greater then 2Mb of the T6600. In short can say that P8600 is much faster by its larger cache pool and consumes very low power. Hope this is enough for you to choose the P8600 processor i.e DELL laptop.

According to me, the P8600 runs on a faster bus compare to that of T6600. But may be its RAM has only around 800mz capability. Actually both stands on same position, but P8600 is little bit better, this can be easily noticed. And also the P8600 processor has 3mb L2 cache more than that of T6600 processor. Clearly i would choose the DELL with P8600 and you should also choose the same.

My point of view also says that the P8600 processor is better than a T6600 processor. The P8600 use very low power and also with higher clocks(i.e 2.4 Ghz against 2.2Ghz) and also has high L2 cache and high FSB. This all makes it has a better choice. More importantly it will also increase battery life of P8600. Hope you clearly got my message about which is best processor and would be able to choose the perfect processor.

Personally i would say buy the DELL laptop with P8600 processor, it has excellent performance and also i like the DELL laptops also very much. The P8600 intel processor has got good review and response in market also and it has very good features like Dual core , enhance the Speedstep Technology, Virtualization Technology and also execute Disable Bit. It has L2 cache size of 3MB and speed of 2.4Ghz , which is consider very good. Hope this is enough features to buy the P8600 processor.

I would say that T6600 is capable, if you are normal regular user, but it is also true that P8600 is better than T6600 unless if you provide more stress on CPU. According to the law in physics, the P8600 will consume more power compare to T6600. And i think higher FSB and over 50% more L2 cache can make that much difference. If you cost wise, then think Sony would be really bad choice because between both there would around $150 difference.
