Gskill is famous Taiwanese brand known at the overclocking and gamers. The new range and this kit Ripjaws certified DDR3-2000 (1000MHz) 1.65V in case 9/9/9/27.
Ripjaws F3-16000CL9D-4GBRH
Specification: DDR3 2000 (PC 16000) 1000MHz
Motherboard: Support Intel P55
Memory Type: DDR3 240-pin DIMM non-ECC
timings: 9-9-9-27-2T
Voltage: 1.6/1.65v
Warranty: Lifetime
This kit is black with red writing, it gives a very nice effect, very aggressive with the heat spreaders shaped tooth of a crocodile, it is nevertheless easy to implement memory slots on your motherboard. The label on the side of each bar shows you the specifications of this kit and warning you of a breach of warranty if you plan to remove the radiator.
While the kit can hold more than respectable frequencies where 6/8/6/21 namely between 885MHz and 965MHz depending on the voltage. These chips require a TRCD of 8 for the frequency is close to the manufacturers specifications, with a 7 in TRCD 6/7/6/21, the frequencies were closer to 800MHz and therefore less efficient in the end.
there are the good and big surprise of this kit, the 1000MHz in 7/8/7/21/74/1T are possible with just under 1.6v SuperPi . This is a wonderful feat for a kit certified at the same frequency 9/9/9/27/2T. by Cons increasing the voltage does very little gain in terms of frequency stability.
A kit very good that with good overclocking ability, without significantly increasing tensions. The main objective is to lower the timings if you want to stay in a vDIMM original 1.6/1.65v and then increase the frequency while remaining with timings near the origin of a vDIMM 1.7/1.75v. The frequencies are higher is up to you to judge what is most significant in the applications you use.
